Summoning (4) + Magic (4) + Focus (4) = (12d6.hits(5) =4)
Spirit's Opposed Roll = (5d6.hits(5) =1)
That's 3 net hits, meaning 3 services to start, right?
I forget the Drain formula... is it really just number of services gained? I thought the spirit's Force had something to do with it. I'll hold off for now until I get back to the books. Also holding off on Binding rolls, since that will take 5 hours of ritual and the flight just started.

You need to resist drain in hight of hits from the spirit (not net hits!) minimum 1, which means in this case it's 1.
When binding I think it is hits * 2 drain miminum 2 but I'm not exactly sure atm.

The drain for both summoning and binding should be 2X hits (not net hits) by the spirit.

EDIT: It appears Omeed is having a little trouble. 
Can somebody look over the rolls and make sure I'm doing it right? Also, Omeed does have 3 points of Edge... could I use that to re-roll the Binding failures and hopefully beat out the spirit? Or is that something I'd have to declare before making the spirit's opposed roll?

If you spend some time resting, you may heal some atun damage during flight. Also first aid can be applied.

I know that, but I'm more concerned about missing my chance to bind the spirit. And I'm assuming the binding materials are spent even on a failure?

Anybody know if spending a point of Edge to re-roll failures is an option in a binding test like this? Or do you have to declare that before the Spirit's opposed roll? If so, I will do that.

I have a bit of good news for you: your spirit doesn't have a 12 dice pool to resist your binding. The spirit's binding resist should only be twice its force, so in your case a 10 dice pool. So you can re-roll those 10 dice or drop the last 2 (whichever the GM is more comfortable with). Also, with Edge you should be able to spend a point to re-roll your misses (in your case it would be 7).
