So like the subject line says, I have been looking at Big Regret and am coming up with only a smattering of examples for what could be so heinous to a runner or the runner community that it is worth the dice pool modifier and the Notoriety hit.

My take on it is that Big Regret would be similar to a Bad Rep action that no one knows about yet. Things like selling out your team and killing the Johnson are about as creative as I can get with it as far as my understanding of the Negative Quality is concerned. I don't really see the listed examples as being worth the penalties and was interested in someone else's take on it.

Selling out your team, geeking your johnson, burning down an orphanage, slaughtering an entire village, not stopping someone in your team from doing any of the above. Basically if it screams ridiculously bad idea it could probably qualify for it. The only time I've seen it actually used was a character who let an assassination target live a faked the targets death. It eventually came to light what had actually happened and his reputation in the shadow community dropped like a rock.

If the character was former military or corp forces a big regret could be calling down fire upon civilian targets or getting bad info and slaughtering civilians.

Or You have a regret for leaving a teamate behind on a very important run.

I can think of alot more, (those are tame ones) but basically it should be somethign horrible that the character used to do/did that he feels bad about doing now. Even if he didn't mind doing it then.
