So... whats the buzz on the new Shadowrun 2050 book coming out later this year.   A book which re-releases the original 2050 setting with 4th ed rules?

For me, Its the most anticipated book of the year, but then I run a campaign actually set in 2050 and a book like this would have/will make my life some much easier :)  So from me, I'm sure as heck getting soft and hard copies.

But what's the buzz on the forum?  Looking forward to this release?

Here here. I am happy to know that I will be able to make use of my older materials.

Funny enough, I'm looking forward to it.  It would be like I started buying books back when I first found out about Shadowrun in '91 in a way...

Still want to do more than just GM, and hopefully someone will pull out the old great adventures for me to enjoy somewhere, sometime.

So... I could have saved myself a lot of time and not bothered with my conversion of the entire 2050 setting to SR4.

Hey Ajax, I like what you've done with your conversion so far.  When I get time, I'll have to post some questions on your qualities decisions, but it's good work.

Sometimes that's the way it goes. As in it goes over top of you like a Mac truck after laying you out.

This book doesn't even exist yet and it's already got pride of place on my book shelf.

So, is a city in the CAS going to be the default example setting for this book?  :D

I read a post a while back  about how Atlanta has the most Classic Cyberpunk/Gibson vibe out of all the cities from Neo-Anarchist Guide to North America....

Well most of the 2050 material was based in Seattle I believe (at least module wise it seemed), so my guess would be Seattle is going to be the primary location.

Seattle has always been the default location for Shadowrun, I believe.

That's exactly what I wanted to do, when starting my campaign a few months back, but decided that trying to retcon the world while maintaining the current rules would be a real PITA, and trying to keep track of what was or wasn't available would be too difficult.

I'm in. Save a copy for me.  ;)

I said that.

Anyway, since Seattle has been the default setting forever it's a strong presumption that it will focus on that.

Is Seattle the default setting in the German version? I would think otherwise.
