Until they produced the first Germany sourcebook, I would suspects so.

Now there are half a dozen German-language books on the AGS and various sprawls. As the German translation of SR4/SR4A is a translation, they would still be discussing Seattle the way that book does in English. However, their Quick Start booklet and I'm sure additional material in the core books are about Germany.

As I recall, some material in DidDS2 (the second Germany sourcebook published about a decade ago) flat-out retconned and eliminated some of the nonsense from the first book that was published around 1992. So I have no idea what the setting info on AGS would be, if any. However, I imagine that the Pegasus freelancers would be the ones to ask.

Hmm, 2050. Is that far enough back to bring that alternative to Cyberdecks into play?

Put your clothing back on, it doesn't mean that!

Really hoping that whoever on this project for Decking has their A-Game going.

Nice. And thanks for the refresher, as i knew it was something to do with "carriers" but was stumped on the complete name.

Is Seattle the default setting in the German version? I would think otherwise.
But why would we care about the German version? ;)

I just voted, sided on an enriched Seattle environment.

The logic behind that is: Make one awesome setting and if the game goes well HBS will design an expansion later that includes another city.
Look past the lies, and all the scary stuff that remains is the truth.

I love that Seattle is the default setting, 'cuz I live in Washington and have been up and down Tacoma and Puyallup. :)

As we get closer I get more excited myself.  A shot at playing when I was first introduced to the game...  1991.

...

*Sighs*  I'd probably end up GMing anyhow.

Really hope CGL has a good team on this.

That is a really good news because I am back to using the SR1 rulebook to play the game right now...

I hope the matrix will be back to the old form :)
