aha, didnt expect it to live in the sewers, think hobbling down those pipes either naked or in eagle form is a pretty bad idea.
Feathers is on the nearest rooftop that overlooks the entrance, or the nearest bit of high ground (whatever works, let me know if you need an edit on my IC)
and is sticking his head over the lip of the rooftop and looking for any aura or signature around there that matches the one from the beasty.

I might risk going in under astral projection, depending on what happens of course :-)

Ouch, I'm very sorry to hear it Snow. I know I'd be having internet withdrawal in a day and it'd be bad in 3. We'll miss you lot's and look forward to having you back. I think I'm going to have you talk to your clan leader/guild master and he's going to send you far away to a temple so that they can try and cleanse you of the taint.  This way at whatever point in the story that you jump back in, it's easy to work you back in as having just got back into town. If that's not alright with you just let me know & I'll re-write the post to whatever idea you'd rather have instead.
