Corrections I need?

I wrote to you about corrections, for the rest, I need a chummer file. Since you were the only one who couldn't do it, you'll have to wait patiently until I convert your submitted character into one. But I should wait with that until you correct your qualities, as you may have 20 000 nuyen less for equipment. Write me if you have chosen an other quality or decided to stick with those despite the consequences.

Ah right, my In-Debt quality..... hmmmm..... dropping that much gear from Deadline would drop his precious drone cameras. Let me see what I can do with his gear with 20k less and I'll get back to you in an hour.

Alright, So I did the math and Deadline without that 20k loses 90% of his drones. Can't do that, now can we? Especially since as an investigative reporter his cameras are his life. Trouble is... Specks has the same issue since his 10k from debt= his entire gear sheet. So I guess well move on to persona number 3. Razor. Give me a moment to get him posted, see if you approve.

Sich, I've spent a long time programming an Excel document to do everything I could want it to in a way I can understand. Not to mention my aspergers kicks like fucking crazy with change, so it makes me a little stubborn. Beyond that, I know that he's trying to make sure that we all have our math done correctly but is it really necessary when all of us have below 15 dice in our pool in any individual skill? In fact, most of my skills don't get that high. Regardless, I'll try to make this next posted character a little easier to read for his sake. I still am nervous about downloading stuff.

Qualities
Prejudiced (Magicians) [-10]: He doesn't like them, but can work with them when necessary
Astral Sight [5]: He can see astral stuff
Vendetta (Knight Errant) [-5]: He lost his job thanks to these peeps. (Required to take enemy, who's name is Lieutenant Ellenbacher, former Ares Firewatch point man)
SINner [-5]: He is a registered citizen
Action Geas [-10]: He can only see astrally while singing old folk songs
Bad Rep [-5]: Paul was framed for the scandal that brought down his specific unit in Lone Star (A leaked trideo of Lone Star Officers systematically gunning down unarmed Tempo Users coming down from their high)

Lucky Paul, and his partners Skunk (Assault and Extrication Specialist) and Leon (Astral Security/Defense), worked on the Magical Apprehension division of Lone Star. Specifically targeting spirits, magicians, and adepts, the unit was broken into investigators teamed with SWAT-esque officers and hermetic magicians capable of incapacitating those that did not cooperate. After KE took the city from Lone Star, Paul and his team of course were left with skills (And some pilfered gear) but not a job. They fell into freelance work amongst the shadows, making a habit of showing up KE as bounty hunters, and causing them grief as shadowrunners.

-sighs- It is really starting to feel like I am unwanted. Seriously, I just wanted to throw together a character and run (Especially since I have so many built and have only played maybe 2 or 3). I understand he wants us to use chummer, or omae, or whatever, and you are correct it is his game. If he says "Lysander, begone." then I'll leave. I tried hard to sign onto this game because I am desperate to play shadowrun as a player and not a GM. But I get paranoid about downloading programs. Change is incredibly difficult for me (I used to cry when plans were changed at my house, it's taken many many years to get over some things like that). If I am causing that many problems, tell me to leave.... it won't be the end of my world.

but you still have time i have my background half-finished and if someone has to be kicked of the team it's me :(
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and expect nothing!

Pshaw, history comes first to me. My characters live and breathe... Lucky paul is just an investigator looking for ways to outshine Knight Errant.

The same as Sichr here said, Lys; I also know your pain, I had a really hard time finding games (and it's even more difficult to be in the ones which go on, instead of being abandoned in the first month). So, if you want some help in anything, just ask. There's no problem in converting an excel file to a chummer file for me (and today I have most of my day at home with relatively little to do), so don't worry about that.

Let's just make the better out of the situation: so far you're in the game, so let's just work this out together and do whatever it's needed to facilitate everyone's life.

Well I need Lucky to get his qualities approved by Thun before I bother either of you to take a peek at his sheet.

Hi Guys!

Sorry if I make it hard, I just want thought-over characters, not "thrown together" or made on a conveyor belt. I think character creation is among the best parts in shadowrun, but I can understand if someone doesn't feel the same way. Bear with me, it's almost over - in turn, I try to be this demanding to myself too. I changed the story of the game a dozen times already as you change characters, to better suit you.

So Lyz, can this be your final character please? I half-converted the other one, and now you bring your...I don't know, fourth or fifth? And just for information, I use Chummer to keep changes in your characters during play, make invisible rolls, add Karma and such, so it's not just for funsies :) Please send me the full character, with gear and lifestyle and the other perks.

And Sichr. Ironic, your speech about "HIS game", because I remember telling both generally and explicitly to you, that every character lives in Everett. Now I see a ranch in your sheet, but not a description about it. Is it in Everett? Is it called "Ranch" ironically? Because it has a landlord, concerned neighbors and lives by committee. So it must be in Everett, a gated community, am I right? I really hope I'm right here, I must be, but tell me if I missed something. :)

Oh, and in this week, we'll start the game. This promise is adamant, so you out there who didn't finish your characters, better shape up! :)

Aalithun, you asked me to remove my debt quality, I told you that it eviscerated my character concepts. So I posted another option without the quality. I am waiting on you to approve my qualities before I bother. I am only changing at your request.

Carnation Seattle Ranch is in Redmont. See Settle 2072 sourcebook, p.118 for more detailed information. I didn`t wrote description because in fact it is one of locations already described, and didn`t realized that maybe not everyone read that sourcebook :P
As I said here with no reply since then:

http://forums.shadowrun4.com/index.php?topic=6023.msg105978#msg105978

my character spends maybe weekends there, as she is working in Everett Naval Hospital and it is safe to assume that she spends most of her days in the hospital or in laboratory (she has chemical workshop paid). If this would be the problem, I would think about some kind of squat of low lifestyle, I have 500Y as starting money, that t is enought to buy me a bed in some kind of dormitory.
Also, for the reason of this choice...
I got my grandfather to take care of and the Carnation ranch is just the best place I found in sourcebook :)
Also there is nothing simillar I can find in the Everett. Besides. I dont remember if I had to remove this also but Nina is capable to stay on her own using Survival skill, well Everett is not the best place to do so :)

So it's still not in Everett, but closer. I've read the Sourcebook, of course, but Carnation-Seattle Ranch is not a strikingly important part of it :) so I forgot.
I didn't reply to your hospital post because there was a little smiley face at the end of it and I thought it was a joke. So you mean to work 60 hrs in the hospital, go to committee meetings, take care of your grandfather AND go on shadowrunning? And yes, as it is now, you have to do all of those things, dependent is a negative quality, your grandfather needs you, he's not there to manage your living expenses (if you leave it to him, you'll find yourselves In Debt real soon, and I mean the quality ) And you have to go to work from Redmond to Everett so: 5*12 hrs of work, 0,5 hrs on traveling, at least 6 hrs of sleep,  1 hr grandfather, 1 hr else (eating f.e.)= 2-2,5 hrs a day remaining to other activities, one of them is shadowrunning. More on weekends, but you will be tired as hell and probably just want to sleep instead of dodging bullets.

So I suggest you'll become a part-time nurse, working 20 hrs and then you may have some spare time to occasionally help the team out :).

And Lyz! I want to make something real clear. If you plan to argue on every step on the way when we are playing, please tell me now. I'm being courteous to everyone to show respect for you guys, I love you all, you are all my favorite players, but I'm the GM. So when I say "please send me the character", I kindly ask you, do not write back "I  am waiting on you to approve my qualities before I bother. " If it is so much of a bother to you, you know, nobody forces you here to play. If I've had some problem with the character, I'd already let you know.

For everyone: until this point, I explained all my motives to you, so you can see that I'm not being unreasonable and in fact, I hold your best interest at heart when I recommend something. From now on, to speed things up (and because this more and more seems like as endless as a political debate to me) I'm going to tell you things once and assume you are adults who can make reasonable decisions and live with the consequences if you ignore it. So please, think over your decisions, because once you've made them, you loose the right to argue with me later. If you have questions before you act, I'll gladly answer them every time. :)
