So, seeing someone comment on the Alternity system in another thread, I thought of something:
Many gamers are collectors, who will seek out  obscure systems, and spend lots of energy tracking down
out-of-print systems.

For me, my best find, that took me 7 years to track down was: Stalking the Night Fantastic, the Bureau 13 RPG.

Systems that I am considering in my Holy Grails to find: TSR's the Amazing Engine system and TSR/WotC's Alternity
system.

Are you talking about finding them in dead tree format, or as a scan? Venture over to the Pirate Bay, and you'd be surprised how many out of print products you can find there. If you're talking about dead trees, though, I'd suggest looking on Amazon or Ebay.

I've been EXTREMELY lucky on that front. At one time in the early '90's I lived within 2 hrs drive (which was nothing for me then) of no less than 15 Game shops and 25 good used book stores. In fact, before Amazon hit, I ran a Book finding business. Here are some of the things I managed to snag in those golden years.  ;)

I found 3 copies of Sword and Dagger and never paid more than $3 for one....

I grabbed this Freebooterz a loong time ago, but still after it was OOP.

And an original 1st printing Deities & Demigods with the Cthulhu Mythos in it.

And my crown jewel, even though it isn't an actual game product just a tie in. I had a contact at the EB and snagged this sweet standup.
