It sounds intriquing. But that is because im a little tech geek.
It could be fun to try, but I think I would miss the social part of roleplaying and getting together with the gang to eat some good food a have a couple of beers while plaing.
Maybe I'm just to old or something but I doubt it would be something I would do more than a few times.

My group just uses Skype.

While kind of "low-tech" (especially considering our group), it seems to just be easier. GM has a battlemat with a secondary camera set up.

Only problem is pizza. I have to find a place in Chicago near my GM that delivers, if I wanna make a bribe. *Grin*

I'd -love- to live a decade or two in the future, when everyone's playing RPG's over Surface-like computers.
The program and engine would of course open enough to allow anything to happen, not be limited by "what the program allows" but have all the possibilities open just like your nowadays "it's all in your head and on this little map I just drew" tabletop games, only animated with awesome customize-able 3D graphics!

The only other way I'll get involves in any SR game, will be as the GM.  And you know, sometimes I like to sit on the OTHER side of the GM screen, yeah?
