Is there a general agreement on the concealability of weapons, especially those not mentioned in the official table? My group is considering revising ours, I was wondering what most people use.
The specific rule we are considering is barrel length for a base modifier, then +2 for a high profile external magizine(bananna clip etc), +4 for a drum.
So an assault rifle and sporting rifle both have a +6 modifier, the assault rifle has a slightly shorter barrel (on average) but the assault rifle has a larger height thanks to it's magazine. Shotguns With internal magazines would be a +4, length close to an assault rifle, but no clip to increase the width. This would also make both sniper rifles and battle rifles unconcealable.
So, how heavily does this depart from most people's values? The rules are an attempt to strike a balance between realism and balance. Plus we all got tired of using battle rifles 24/7 and giving other weapons concealability bonuses seemed like a good fix.
