The current timeline places the game in 2072.  Unexplained Genetic Expression, where children were born as Dwarves or Elves, started in 2011, or 61 years ago.  Which means that 61 is the oldest that a dwarf or elf should be.  So how is it that they have 'estimated lifespans' of 100+ years?
because it is Estimated ;)

Maybe some adult humans turned elf in the Goblinization as well?!
No, all known Elves were Born that way only Orks and Trolls goblinized (since 2021)
(but Critias already posted it :)  )
Don't forget the breeding rates.  Orks have litters after all.

"Room For A Litter" is a great Orxploitation song!
Not anymore ! Read the Almanach and see the Conspiracy of Megacons and Humanis Polis !

And if you are interested in the story, I think the groundworks where built up in the Human Nation chapter in the first Threats sorcebook (2nd Ed, but available in pdf, IIRC).

For those of you who do not have any of the Earthdawn books (these are the ED numbers, modern medicine will likely extend those):

Dwarfs live about 100 years,
Elves live about 300 years,
Humans about 60 years,
Orks live about 40 years,
Trolls live about 50 years.

The oldest known (non-IE)elf in Shadowrun canon is 63 years of age.  Yes, that means he was born before the Awakening.  He is what is called a "spike baby."  Essentially, a localized surge of mana can cause a fetus to express as her/his Awakened metatype.
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Which is why he's not the oldest known.  Could be he's not getting any older anymore...

No, this was an elf decker in one of the old SR novels.
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Dodger?  He'd be 67.  But I dunno if he's still around or what.

Some old book he talks about remember the Empire State Building coming down in the NYC quake, which I think was 2005, but so far I can't find which book.

Never Trust An Elf.  I'm reading it now, in fact.

Still wondering what happened to him.  Kham is still around, BTW, in the Old Orks Home, his kids and grandkids running the Bot'Kham, The Sons of Kham, a Shadowrun and Smuggler Team in Seattle.

Dodger must be old if his memory is fading like that... the Empire State Building survived the Great Quake of '05. It was the only building taller than 20 stories that survived.
