Hello,

So I got roped into running a 4e game and I figured I would rerun some of the oldies but goodies or at leased use them for inspiration. I'm going to start with my own twist on Harlequin: Physical and then move on to Mecurial but I'm having some trouble with Harlequin: Hates, which is what I wanted to run next. My first thought was to use a Vampire gang in stead of the elves but I can't seam to find one. So my second thought was to use the ghoul gang. I'm wondering how hard it would be for a human to be a ghoul poser. I assume you could replace your teeth with cyberware but I'm not so sure on the skin etc. Any other ideas for the posers is welcome.

Thanks!

Why would anyone pose as a ghoul??

Nevermind, if the internet has taught us anything, it's that there's something for everyone.

I'd say some cosmetic surgery to look more gaunt and replace the teeth. Also, be sure to have lots of I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-Human snacks laying around.

Nanotattoos to provide appropriate skin colouring / lesions?

... I wonder if you could use shrikes and cutters deployed from nanohives in your jowls to dissolve your pre-chewed ghoul food into an edible paste. In your mouth. Or a Surtr variation to cook your meal as you chew.

Problem is, ghouls are dual natured and can thus see through the disguise.  Unless the guy is a mage with masking, .
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Yeah, but they aren't really trying to fool the ghouls, they're just poseurs.

Which means they probably ain't right in the head since they are trying to look like something it's (somewhat) legal to kill on sight. :P

I'm open to other ideas. They just can't be Elves this time around.

Oh, don't listen to us. Go with the ghouls, it's a good idea!

You could go with orks... there are a lot of ork posers after post-orxploitation. A lot easier to work with than ghouls, at least.

There was a ghoul poser in one of the Denver missions. So it's been done.

They don't sparkle, however they can only play baseball during a thunderstorm...

I like the original vampire cult idea.  Everybody loves vampire cult.

I agree. I like the vampire poser gang and will probably use it in my own game. All it takes is fake fangs, pasty skin, and maybe an eye augmentation to make them look all supernaturally. It is definitely believable, too. Look at the vampire groups that are around even today...
