Maxwell grunts.  "Yeah I figured you'd say something like that.  Bombarding you with all this info probably isn't helping either.  Just letting you know that I haven't been doing nothing.  And about Strawberry..."  He wanted to explain more, but it felt pointless.  With what he was about to tell her, he'd have to kill Venom first.  There would be no way she would help without being paid an exuberant sum beforehand.  The two of them aren't friends and they don't know each other.

Bitter hatred stirs within him.  It was impossible to tell if it was coming from himself or from the tainted astral.  Begrudgingly he says.  "Actually nevermind.  This was a meaningless conversation.  I have a job to do.  I'll call once it's done."  Maxwell doesn't say anymore.  Instead he leaves the Jackal's Lantern.  He doesn't return to his body immediately, he flies high above the city.  Past the bubbling filth that Seattle is becoming.  Looking upon it all, a great big domain of fear and revulsion.

"What kind of fetid corruption is this?  The city is becoming diseased with terror and anguish.  A million souls crying out like lambs before the slaughter.  This is worse than what I originally imagined.  Pretty soon there won't be anything worth saving.  A corpse of a city, getting ready to be burned upon the funeral pyre.  Oh well, when you light shit up, things tend to catch fire.  Even darkness can burn bright."

If Venom is still within the city then Maxwell could finish the job.  With the force of his will he tries to summon another spirit.  Conjuring up as much as his magical strength would allow.  A flaming shadowy tendril is sent forth into the astral to try and force a spirit into servitude.

The spirit resists hard but his pull was too much.  A spirit in the form of an archaic demon is now tied to Maxwell, one of flame and might.  He gets ready to return back to the compound to Amy, back to his body.  Trying to zoom past the astral muck and head straight into the barrens.  Maxwell phases through the stone and steel walls of the facility.  Ghosting into his meat and awakening to his surroundings.  He rises out of his sitting position, standing tired he says to Amy.  "Can you come outside with me?  There's something I want to show you.  Something you might not believe until you see it."

@Athos you arrive undisturbed to the Ghoul clinic, at one point you are almost detected by a pack of savage ghouls but Faith stops you before entering their pipe and waits until they are all gone before continuing. Eventually you arrive to the clinc, you can smell the smell of rotting flesh - there is a large community of savage ghouls around the clinic but these are so well fed that they pay little attention to you.

George waves at you happily when you come and asks "Where is the mouse? why didn't you bring the mouse?"

@Maxwell IT tells you "Look I am sorry I am like that, but it is best if I do not know the details - these things are highly illegal, you do not want me to know too much about that job, trust me. There are always temptations and if I know nothing I cannot tip your hands. No matter how much pressure there is, I already know that Strawberry does not see eye to eye with me. Don't give me things that might backfire - ya hear me? She might be calling asking favors, and technically she
also saved my life from Venom by hiding me."

Your Daemon seems especially in a bad mood - "Why on earth did you bring me to this hell hole - please mage get your services over quickly this place disgusts me."

When you are back Amy tells you ' alight - where you want me to go ?' She looks curious.

[Mulcarn]

Walking over to Amy, he slings his arm around her shoulder and hugs her.  Leaning on her for physical support while saying.  "Not very far, just outside this place."  The pair walk together into the elevator, from there they go down to the first floor.  They make their way outside of the compound not too far from the closed doors and the intercom, facing a nice open area.  Maxwell reaches into one of his pockets and pulls out a handful of reagents.  With his summoner's connection he calls to his spirit with mental speech.

"Ifrit, materialize in front of me so I can give you something before I give you your tasks."

Ifirit materialize and you can see Amy retreating backwards, he is huge perhaps 3 meters tall and muscular. He say nothing clearly in waiting mode.

[Mulcarn]

Maxwell takes a minute and admires the spirit he summoned.  A genuine expression of power made real and true.  He feels not fear but pride at the sight of Ifrit.  The glory of fire and the strength of magic.  Maxwell boldly walks forward a few paces and kneels, pouring a handful of reagents on the ground as an offering to Ifrit.  The reagents in question were black pearls ground down into dust and mixed with sachet powder, the reagents of a black mage.  He kept the bulk of it within a hex bag inside his jacket, ready to use whenever the need would arrive.  He stands and walks back over to Amy, then he addresses the spirit with physical words and not astral thought.

"Take this offering as payment for services rendered.  I know the astral is sickly and commanding you to do my bidding here would be harsh.  Find an ork named Venom and kill him, leave nothing left of him but ash and cinder.  He'll be within the city trying to catch a flight out of here.  If anyone get's in your way then scare them off.  I just want him dead."

Maxwell forms a mental image of Venom and shares it with Ifrit.  The spirit should have no problem finding Venom.

We are not certain why he asked for Boom Boom but if he wanted him killed we would just kill him, rather than deliver him alive.  There is a charity event at the national art gallery and Casa is there with BB.  The last time I saw BB we were riding Casa's limo and I delivered him to the party.  He came willingly and even wore a nice suit.
Casa should meet us here after the party but we are in no position to tell him to hurry.

Casa by the way is Cesare Beccaria - don't refer to him as Casa when you are not working for him. It will annoy him. 
If you want, you can wait for him here, or you can try your luck at the art gallery.  We had enough for one day - a simple heist of some greedy Yak goons turned into a death trap and our newest addition, an assassin nicked Blades decided to quit on us after nearly dying.  So yes, I do believe you that your friend is in a lot of drek."

Looking back with a nod, Edge says, "The back seat folds down to get access to the trunk. We'll wait here for just a moment while you guys in the back get into the trunk, and then I'll try sending that distraction message from hidden mode. At that point, I'll just try to go through."

"How about a third option: You call him and ask him to put DemoX on the line. I don't have the time to wait or to infiltrate another party. And don't tell me your boss forbids you to disturb him. That would be a dumb rule and clearly not applicable in a situation like that where a lot of money is on the line."

@Maxwell  Iffrit takes the offering and vanish - it is unable to find Venom, after some time it gives up and return to the place where it come from you can feel the relieve it must have felt. When the pixie sees the spirit she takes off from you flying away far away as far away as she can.

@Edge Nagisa and Gi crumple together inside the trunk and you can try and get passed Huminis. *(what exactly are you doing so I can move forward).

@Kynos Debbie answer you - "You seem to be on edge, is there anything I am getting out of it? "

Too late, his mark must have fled back home hours ago.  Another job he failed to complete.  Maxwell thinks back to the conversation that Strawberry and himself had while he was captured underground, realizing she only let him go because there was nothing he could do to kill Venom at that point.  He would have stopped Titania from flying away but he couldn't find a reason why she should stay, she was afraid of him and he couldn't help her even if he wanted.  Instead he watches her get further and further away, until she faded into black.

Maxwell pulls out his loaned commlink and wires 3000Y to Ivory Tower.  Deleting her from his list of contacts afterward, seeing no point in keeping her on there.  He scrolls through and deletes Strawberry too.  Finding it best he no longer has any connection between those two if at all possible.  He turns around and looks at Amy with a sad smile saying.  "Well that was a big show for nothing.  My Ifrit couldn't find Venom, he's not in the city so he must have left back home.  That's twice I failed you.  Let me head back inside and grab something I left then i'll make myself scarce again.  You won't want my darkness hanging around you."

Athos smiles, "The mouse is off doing something else this time.  I will tell her that you asked about her and that she should come visit."  He drops the bodies at the feet of the ghoul surgeons and says, "We need to know what the cyber eye this one has saw before it's owner died.  Can you do that for us?  If not, can you cut it out without damaging it so I can take it so an expert?"
