When Kynos' call comes in, he looks at the message and sighs.  >>I do not think that is a good idea, what with all the KE and private security running all over the place.  A distraction would not last long enough for you to get to Venom, kill him, and get back out.  Yulia is on him, based on the last glimpse I got from her glasses.  My advice is to give her a chance to make this work.<<

@Minnie Gi nods and return the kiss with great passion. There is not much freedom of movement, but the view is spectacular. The eagle reserve is dedicated for the eagles. Such a waste of realestate would not be accepted in seattle but the concil has different values. It is off limits to metahumanity and perhaps for the first time Minnie's actually spends the night outdoors. In a little piece of heaven. Gi gives her everything that he has, he clearly makes love as if it is his last day on earth and he wants to have no regrets at all.

Athos shrugs and frowns.  "I just cannot win.  I only wanted to talk to the guy and get him on a plane home, but it appears my companions are after something different.  There must be a serious hate there to get them to try something like that here tonight, especially now that the security is on high alert.  So what sort of runners do you use?  It appears that my current life is just about over, even if I can clear my name."

Maxwell tries to come up with a plausible lie.  "I'm not sure why that is to be honest.  I came here as a contractor under Ares employ to meet all the top-men and what have you.  Then before I know it, there's this huge explosion and zombies are in the streets killing people.  I ran back to my car to pick up my gear and came back to try find a friend of mine who got lost."

Athos looks at Luna.  "Please excuse me again while I take this call."  >>Kynos.  I appreciate your frustration, but Yulia is doing what she thinks is best and I have full confidence in her.  She will get the information we need or lead Venom to us, but you need to give her the time to work it out and do her thing.  Trust me, she is very good at what she does.  If it is the payday you are worried about let me guarantee your share.  If it is killing Venom, I do not know how that will work out, but you are likely to get your chance.  However, the entire battery to scrotum thing is not a good idea.

Since you are in the juristriction of concil land and obviously am displaying the SIN of a felon you are herby under arrest by the authority of ambssidor Jones. Unless you resisst the men search you and the suit where they locate a Transys avaloon comlink. The guards restrain you with metal handcuffs and two of them lead you to a small holdout cell in the ambassidor's mansion, the rest continue to scan the place looking for Venom.

@Kynos DemoX say "They managed to catch someone with Venom's suit and comlink, I hope that jackass is still alive. I have a man inside on my pay roll, if you are serious in breaking in this is the only security gap I know about."

@Athos When you are back from the phone call Luna tells you "You already had a glimpse as to what kind of runners I hire. I am a mediator between cooperate fixers and runners for gigs where the cooperate desire an extra layer of indirectness between the deed and their brand name. It means that the deeds tend to be a bit darker and more delicate if exposed. I am not sure that you are my type of guy, this is dirty work but if we do not do it people with money will always find a willing soul to sadisfy even their darkest desires. Morality is a luxery I do not have in this profession."

Maxwell doesn't offer up any resistance, instead he complies with the officers.  He allows them to cuff and search him.  "I could just kill these guys but it might be better if I don't have another bounty on my head."

Maxwell thinks hard about his companions and does a risky gambit.  "Mortality, I want you to find Kynos and deliver a message to him.  Tell him that i've been captured and people think i'm Venom."

Kynos shook his head: "Last thing I saw was Venom getting it on with Athos' friend. She didn't pick up her glasses, so I have to assume that they didn't catch them. Here I'm forwarding you the data. Maybe you can extrapolate something from that." He grinned "But do it in private.

About that friend of yours - have him on stand by. As things are going I suspect there could be an extraction in order."

Suddenly, a horror vision manifested in the confines of the van. DemoX' - completely manly and not at all high pitched, girly scream - made Kynos open his eyes and bring the rifle around in an instant.
"KYNOS MY MASTER BIDS YOU TO KNOW THAT HE HAS BEEN CAPTURED AND MISTAKEN FOR VENOM."
"Oh. DemoX stop screaming like a little girl. Ok, thanks, whoever you are. Does he want me to bust him out?"
"HE DID NOT STATE SUCH A REQUEST."
"Ok, cool. So he has the guys clothes and commlink? That's pretty hilarious actually. Can you tell him to switch off Venom's commlink and lose it for me to retrieve? There could be valuable data on it."

Only then did he notice that he could still contact Sovereign's own commlink: <<Hey, could you not just explain to them that you are no ork and that you found those clothes? Also, try to hide the commlink (shut it down) for me to retrieve. Could be valuable to crack - especially if we want to clear Athos' name.>>

@Kynos A skelton like spirit materializes next to you in the car and say "Boo!" . Unable to feel fear you do not find it very intimidating and the spirit then say "Sovereign was captured and people think he is Venom" He does not explain or wait for coffee instead he quickly vanished to where he came from. It is difficult to say because spirits are a bit different psycologically but he seemed disapointed that you did not jump.

DemoX however was already pointing his gun at the undead spirit ready to shoot. "What was THAT all all about... NOW I have seen everything... " he say and lights a smoke.

Athos chuckles.  "Morality?  That is a harsh word for a Mafia thug, but I guess it is true, in a sense.  There is a certain morality involved in what we do and it helps the people we protect.  But there is also a lot immorality involved.  I have been a Family guy for as long as I can remember.  First on the fringe running messages and escorting payments, then into the ranks of the foot soldiers, and a made man.  I have certainly seen my share of immorality, but have held myself a bit above that.  I just never saw the need for some of the things others were doing.  I suppose in a different world I would have been a fine KE, trying to help people.  Don't get me wrong, there is lots of blood on my back trail, but most of it is gangers and worse.  Some of the things I have done do not sit well with me, so if that is the sort of guy you need then I agree that I am not your man."

He gets on the link to the others.  >>Kynos, Sovereign.  I would think that Yulia will need some space and time to fully seduce Venom and extract any information.  It may take a bit, but she will contact us when she has something.  I see no reason to wait here for her.  Do we have some other place to check out?<<
