Ambrose did not go to the yacht first. As each hospital was likely to have different keycards, and ID structures as well as icons and other things, he absolutely needed to scope the place out first. And so he did. It was a rather simple walk around the place looking around for the clinic of the hospital, his little camera recording everything it could, including the employees and what their cards look like.
"I've had a bit of a headache." he says to the front counter of the clinic. A rather common problem with people of advanced years, He could make a few common illnesses. Nothing grand, simple here was key. No one could disprove his own pain he felt, they could only prove he didn't have some crazy disease. He waited in the waiting room for the moment, watching people come and go, and just who was working.
The check came and went, the nurse informing him he was a tad dehydrated and to drink more fluids, as his headache went away mysteriously after being given a glass of water. With the film in hand, the last thing was to see if he could get someone's card, a rather tricky little aspect to be sure, as he wasn't as spry as he used to be. Minimizing the amount of people around came first, the old man moving to the smoking zone. He needed to get someone going off duty if he was going to do this, and so he waited.
Finally if an employee would come out, and go to the bus stop, that was when he'd move to take his target. Getting on the same bus as them, real nonchalant like, watching them to see where they put their card. He'd only have a moment to do this. Moving through the bus past the employee he'd quickly attempt to get the card. The real thing was always better than a fake after all.
Finally going to the yacht the old man sits down with the card. He'd have to work quickly with it, otherwise if the person noticed their card was missing eventually they'd be able to trace back to here. His coat blocked out most signals fairly well, scrambling them in the noise, but that would all change when he began to work on the card. The first thing was to make a fake that looked exactly like this, even had the access codes, only wasn't able to be traced by the person he stole it from.
