A squatting Trogg Mage, Mother of the Barrens need your help..?

So, i really, really, really wanna play a troll. No melee troll though, so i decided to let stats be stats and go all out fluffbunny.
which turns out i cant, so here i am again requesting help with the crunch.

I got the feeling that he is quite ok already, he has to have some holes for beeing a troll i think, but i picture him quite capable.

I would like to keep (most of ) the qualities. He is more or less the centre of his little neighbourhood, giving protection and help whenever he can.

So, any tips on this lettle fella? Have i finally found the troll i will have fun to play?

oh, and if someone could give me some tips about the summoning part that would be nice. For instance, which force should the spirit have that i use to cast reflexes on me? etc. thanks

You have either an allergy to emotional attachment (which is the coolest thing I've ever heard) or you have the "emotional attachment" negative quality in run faster.

What are your priorities? Spell tradition? I assume it's INT-based?

Your REA is really low. I would cannibalize a point each from LOG and CHA, and then raise CHA with karma.

I would drop Clubs 5 and pick up a gun skill. Also Clubs is substantially worse than Blades even if you want to stay melee.

Negotiation 1 with Charisma 2 is pointless. Chances are you'll glitch, if not crit glitch. You're not a face - accept it. You don't want to roll this skill ever.

I don't know that Binding 1 is worth it at all. Your dice pool is 7. Meh. You're not going to bind anything worthwhile with that dice pool.

First Aid 2 is doing nothing for you. Your roll 4 dice to do FA without a kit. The first 2 hits are eaten just doing the treatment and don't provide any real help. You can heal a maximum of 2 boxes in the end due to the rating. Stick to the medkit doing it wirelessly and up its rating to 6 (you may also want a rating 3 for pocket-carry).

I suggest taking First Aid 2 and Negotiation 1 and putting them into Binding.

You have nothing to do in ranged combat that doesn't cause Drain. Not the best idea.

OK so here's the thing. Combat spells are not that impressive. Direct spell damage is low. Indirect is pretty decent, but, and this is a big but, it's not necessarily worth it to focus on. Illusion spells like Chaotic World and Swarm, and Manipulation spells like Turn To Goo and Control Thoughts, are in many ways much more game-changing in battle than Stunbolt in this edition. Which isn't to say that you don't want magic attacks. It's just that I think specializing in them is kind of a waste.

You're lacking a Fake SIN and fake magic license. You want one of each at Rating 4.

Why get rea up? btw, i think "dumbstats" of 1 will or might be a problem where i wanna play him, people tent to see 1s as a real handycap. often plain not allowed.

negotiantion and first aid were fluff choices, seems kind of pointless though. figured "ghsotdaddy" should at least know what binding is all about. will look into it. after all its quite clear that whatever i do, this guy wont become well rounded^^
Also gave him a Distinctive Style that wont ever let him go trenchcoat.

spells... Whats the thing with turn to goo? the first time i read it i immedtiatly thought: yay, the munchkin is turning everyone to goo again! You turn to goo and are basicaly dead? Is it considered evil? toxic? how do gms like it?
I would like to get rid of that combat spells and take some trid phantasm and ttg or something, but as you said his baton is already subpar and 3 reach aint a gun. stunbolt wont be able to be my ak when i cant do anything else at that moment, no?

i really like the concept and have a a good idea how he would look and so on. and i do know that he wouldnt stand a chance against a "hard" build runner, question is if he would be able to do his part? some part?

Perhaps i will try to get rid of the baton and get a big f****** gun in there... though i will have to change around quite much and a shotgun would be most fittin (apart from assaultcannontroll^^) and then peolpe will tell me to drop lomgarms and go all automatics :)

oh, and he got a sin all along. must have missed it.

Edit: Upping rea 1 and using karma to keep loc at 2 has me losing all 1-2 skills except comp, which seems kind of needed. i put karma into assensing to get it from 2 to 3, not efficient but i dont see how i could get that without karma. or will 2 be enough? that woulf free up 7 karma...

so all in all -2 body, +1 rea, +1 edge?

Or, by scratching all his nice background qualities too, only keeping mentor and spirit affinity, i could get binding 4, assensing3 basically instead of the edge..better?

I'd keep 2 in body but still buy that point of edge. Body can be useful for overcasting, rea is not. You are not a combat mage however, you are an illusionist.

The real point of priority swap was to get those „50k and don't fall way too short on skills at the same time.  A troll mage is kinda hard to do but it also offers some unorthodox priority choices. The more I think about it the more I like Troll-A, Skills-B, Magic-C, Cash-D, Attributes-E.

I'd buy them with karma. It's a waste to spend priority points to get 2s.

Whats the thing with turn to goo? the first time i read it i immedtiatly thought: yay, the munchkin is turning everyone to goo again! You turn to goo and are basicaly dead? Is it considered evil? toxic? how do gms like it?
There's no such thing as evil and it is not toxic. It's basically turning a person to jello for however long you sustain it. It's not permanent. It's a debuff. For GMs...well, I don't know if it's more of a pain than Chaotic World or Swarm.

Well keep Stunbolt and Ball Lightning (you want a way to hurt spirits). I'd go with Blades over Clubs 100%.

i really like the concept and have a a good idea how he would look and so on. and i do know that he wouldnt stand a chance against a "hard" build runner, question is if he would be able to do his part? some part?
You could definitely contribute and do cool things. You can absorb a good amount of damage. Just don't out yourself as a mage unless you really have to.

Perhaps i will try to get rid of the baton and get a big f****** gun in there... though i will have to change around quite much and a shotgun would be most fittin (apart from assaultcannontroll^^) and then peolpe will tell me to drop lomgarms and go all automatics :)
Shotguns aren't bad. Just get one that can auto-fire and learn the rules of the choke settings.

Edit: Upping rea 1 and using karma to keep loc at 2 has me losing all 1-2 skills except comp, which seems kind of needed. i put karma into assensing to get it from 2 to 3, not efficient but i dont see how i could get that without karma. or will 2 be enough? that woulf free up 7 karma...
LOG 2 is literally doing NOTHING for you at all. Computer is not needed. You don't need to roll to google a new restaurant or find a map online. And a pool of 3 is not something you will succeed at anyway. Buy it with karma if it's important to you. Never spend priority skill points on rating 1/2 skills - just not worth it.
Playability > verisimilitude.

== Description ==
With his quite old fashioned and nearly always dirty coat and the Top-Hat he wears nearly all the time Ghostdaddy isnt someone youŽd miss in a crowd.
When at home or in the barrens he will usually smell more or less badly, his reduced senses adding to his surroundings. But given time, a bathroom, some more time, some drycleaner and a place to store said top-hat (and perhaps change it for a bandana holding his dreadlocks back) he can look acceptable for most occasions. He doesnt have a bathroom though.
His mask is a stylised skull, and he likes the vodoo-look it gives him. Not that he likes vodoo, he just likes the look.
When not wearing the mask he has his vintage-looking monocle on his left eye all the time.
He doesnt wear backs or packs, everything he needs has to fit in the Coat of many Pockets.
