Putting together a Decker character with Longarms for when the Matrix can't solve his problems. I've got 20 karma left and not sure where to spend it.

Also, if anybody happens to have an online game on skype or something that could use a decker, I would like to be able to play this guy.

When you use the sensor array for Perception Tests, you may use your Electronic Warfare skill in place of your Perception skill, and you may use the sensor’s Rating as your limit.
Seeing as your Cracking skill group is at 6, I'd look at fitting the largest sensor array you can into something you normally wear. Admittedly, that's only rating 2 or rating 3, but if you include a camera & omnidirectional microphone in that, you can increase their limit.

Oh, nice. So does that only apply to Sensor Arrays, and not to single sensors? Because it doesn't look like you can fit a Sensor Array in anything smaller than a wall-mounted unit.

If only I wasn't limited to 20 karma on gear, I'd put the other 20 in nuyen and put that on my to-do list. As it is, I was struggling to afford everything I needed to function. Cyberdecks are expensive. Though I probably could drop from the Hermes Chariot to the Azteca 200. That's a 12,750 nuyen difference for another 4 instead of a 3 on the array.

Well, if you dropped 2 points each from Agility and Strength, you could switch to Attributes and Resources B and take Muscle Replacement 2 - giving you the same actual Attributes, but 85000 extra nuyen.

Better yet, if you only drop Agility by 1, but also drop Willpower by 1, you can use 15 of that Karma to bring Willpower back up and net an extra point of Agility in the exchange.  And you can upgrade the Ruger to the Crockett EBR, which is a superior weapon by any measure save legality.  You can also swap the Defiance for the much nicer Enfield, and pick up WR1.

Legality was in question, which is why I went with the Ruger and the Defiance over their superior, forbidden brethren. The Defiance also has the bonus of coming in the short-barrel version, which is +4 concealment instead of the +6 the Enfield is at, knocked down to +2 thanks to the Lined Coat.

However, the bonus cash you mention may be worth rearranging the priorities. Throwing some cyberware in to improve my meat body is tempting, as is upgrading from the Hermes to the Novatech Navigator.

Note for Snipers in fifth edition is that A) the take aim action is required to use a scope and B) the number of times you can take aim is limited by willpower.

Well, the extra cash is sufficient to run with both, letting you have options great for when you need a relatively legal weapon and for when you're screwed if you get caught already - the second being when you're liable to need a more serious weapon anyways.

Eventually, you'd probably want to switch the Muscle Replacement out for Muscle Toner and possible Augmentation, because Replacement does take up a lot of Essence.
