I'm making a few updates to this sheet; mainly to add a Text Block output suitable for posting on forums. I'll post a link here once it's ready.

Just uploaded version 0.8.10.  A bunch of interface improvements (you can filter augmentations and gear based on category now).
Also, in order to support open standards and compatibility, I ported the spreadsheet to ODS format.  It should work in Excel, Open Office, and any other compatible spreadsheet software.

None of the dropdowns seem to be working (Excel 2007) in the 0.8.10 release. 

When opening, it also complains of unreadable content (downloaded zip file is 100kb and the ods file is 114kb)

There's an error in the Gear Calculation for "Chargen Allowed?" The formula does not always refer to "$U$5" but sequences with each row.

I am getting the same error using Office 2010 professional.

My excel skills are too weak for the repair.

Sorry for the delay, I've updated version 0.8.11 with a lot more bugfixes and small polishes here and there.

I noticed the same problems in Excel - unfortunately Excel doesn't seem to handle the version of the sheet that I'm working with now.  I guess I suggest using OpenOffice or LibreOffice (which are better software anyway, being open source).  For those who are stuck in the megacorp software game, I'll include here the older version (0.8.9) which still works with Excel.

Seriously, thank you to hannibalisfun for doing the original version, and Neo-Anarchist for continuing this. I've just started a SR5 game, and needed an electronic option for my character sheet. Bad things always seem to happen to my paper ones.

I had been just updating my original post, replacing it with the newer version, so as not to crap up the messageboard.  But given that there are compatibility issues which might cause people to want an old version, and that my post is buried somewhere in the middle of the thread, I'll just start adding a new attachment with each update.
