I've started an online PbP game at a place called RolePlay Online. I'm looking for players who are interested in a gritty, street-level game. If you aren't already there, and you're looking to play, go to http://rpol.net and sign up! The game blurb is posted in Wanted - Players forum, but I will repost it here.

You’ve got a call coming in on your ‘link, from an unknown access code. Of course, you let it go, and your “message service” picks it up. Happens all the time, neh? Especially since you bought it on the cheap and out of what’s left of your sense of pity behind that beat-up Stuffer Shack on Avenue East from some wino looking to pickle his brain and forget all those troubles that brought him down even lower than you are.

After you check that message though, something clicks in your brain. Some kind of primal urge to get a leg up, to make a move, to take your stand and step out of the gutter and maybe become somebody. Because you’ve heard the name at the end of that message before, and you know exactly what it means. Somehow, somewhere, you’ve been noticed. And this? This is your ticket out.

Strap on your gear, rev up your ride, and get ready to make a run through the wild side of Seattle. If you’ve had that hot tattooed Elven gilette, Talented Wizzer-Gang spellworm, grease stained junkyard jury-rigger, bulked-up Troll skull-crusher, dazzlingly sexy con artist, or street-savvy wireless wizard character concept burning a hole in your head, now’s the time to get ready to play it!

Emerald City Blue is a Shadowrun 4E game that’s currently looking for 4-6 players. Set in Puyallup Barrens, players should be ready to populate this game with relatively inexperienced young adult (with a preferred age range of 18-25) characters that have grown up on the streets of Seattle, keeping the following watchwords in mind during the creative process: lean, hungry, street. Gameplay will be focused on the trials these characters face as they claw their way out of the gutter and try to edge their way to the top.

Please refer to the public thread Requesting To Join & Character Creation, specifically Message #1 Step 1: Requesting To Join, for more details on the RTJ procedure that should be followed.

The key character roles that will definitely need to be filled, and will be considered first priority among RTJs presented, are Combat (a Close Quarters & Fire Support generalist), Magical Support, Matrix Support, and Negotiation. A strong RTJ or two for character concepts based on any Close Quarters or Fire Support specialists, Infiltration, and especially Transportation roles will round out the team. See Runner's Companion pgs. 9-18 for a discussion on these character roles.

Interested parties will have five days to send in their RTJ. At that time, the selection process will begin and players whose characters have been accepted will be notified by rMail, and their characters will be added to the game. If any of the four key roles (as described above) are not filled by that time, I will remain open for another round of RTJs for a few more days. The further steps of character creation detailed in Step 2 and beyond of the public thread Requesting To Join & Character Creation will proceed after all accepted characters are added to the game.

The information contained in the public thread Rules Of The Game will also be of interest to prospective players, and it is advised that any who are considering joining in the game read those rules carefully. All players will be expected to familiarize themselves with and follow these rules, especially in regards to the Posting Rules.

Being an Adult game, prospective players should read and be able to abide by RPoL‘s Adult Games Policy. Though in no way existing to solely do so, this game will contain scenes of graphic (and perhaps, by some standards, gratuitous) violence, graphic sexual depictions, and drug use, and the animals present within may be harmed in some way (whether by the GM or the PCs). If you as a player are bound to be offended in any way by any of these things, please carefully consider this statement before submitting an RTJ.

Any questions about the RTJ procedure should be submitted to me via rMail, with the subject line reading Emerald City Blue, in order to receive a prompt response and prior to submission of an RTJ.

*For those not familiar with the acronym, RTJ is Request To Join in RPoL-speak.
