The only reason Aztechnology hasn't rolled out a new source of tempo is because they haven't found a way to keep control of the shadow spirits that enforce the spirit pact on users. And having spirits playing around bodyjacking people is bad for business. Especially if some of those people are your corporate citizens with (potentially) valuable paydata or access to weapons that can harm those with access to valuable paydata.

That, and Horizon would easily be able to spin a new Tempo issue on AZT.  They need a good fallguy first.

Hmm...

A chemical splash grenade loaded with DMSO and a rating 6... or even 12 if possible industrial glue.
Not quite as cheap as the solvent... but hey... gluing people in compromising positions is what it's about right...

Those wouldn't require DMSO...  Unless you want to start gluing internal organs together!

And, in the words of a very wise man, "This is glue.  Strong stuff."

Um... Compromising positions is the least of what will happen. Since they're covered in the stuff and it's clinging to them, they'll keep absorbing more and more of it. That means they take a new dose every time the Speed elapses. Since that's Instant, they resist every Combat Round.

Most people wouldn't last the 6 Combat Rounds it takes for the glue to set, and even trolls will probably be dead in under a minute.

That just made me almost spray Dr. Pepper through my nose. +1 for you.

If I understand everything correctly, is there any reason why one should not use barrier foam grenades to capture enemies in a 2,5m diameter of concrete via a smartlink launcher and airburst?

Because the slick grenades in Spy Games (IIRC) are so much more fun?

Actually, thinking back on it... the glue is still laced with DMSO. Once the ghoul start eating, they're going to start getting hit by the effect!

Yeah, but once they chew it up and turn it into a paste again, or it hits their stomach... there's no actual thing in-game that says how long before DMSO "expires" after it's deployed, if ever.

Don't know how I forgot this one, but thermal dye. A non-toxic dye mixed with DMSO designed to intensify the targets thermal signature by increasing skin temperature (bonuses to track with thermal vision, pretty much the opposite of thermal damping). Also useful with UV dye or even neon dye for normal vision. The DMSO makes it soak into the skin and becomes a real bitch to get out (reminds me of a funny story involving a really hot night, condensed milk, and an annoying room mate...took a week for the soured milk smell to go away).

A more costly method (although usually more effective in a chase) is the splash grenades with glue and Stealth RFIDs (or really just adding sticky RFIDs to any splash grenade). Hit them and track them.

Then there's always the poor mans vomit grenade. Splash grenade filled with vinegar (or putrified roadkill). Not effective against high trained and equipped security, but definitely works on lower level threats (even at power 3 or 4, nausea and or disorientation is quite noticeable on lower threats).

And of course, the party crasher grenade. Splash grenade filled with DMSO and Everclear. Welcome to the Wastedland.

Industrial-grade Ammonia is nasty stuff.  Normally it can't be kept in (open to the air) concentrations above 3% - and even that gives off a lot of lethal fumes.

So if you get a grenade filled with pure ammonia?  The moment it hits air, it's going gaseous.  And everyone within a moderate distance of the grenade who takes even a single breath without a gas mask (or inernal air tank)?  Is going to receive a lethal exposure.  Period.
