I'm starting up a game next thursday (week after yesterday) at the behest of one of my players.
Place: OpenRPG
Server: Adult Roleplaying Community
Game Rating: R for Violence, Strong Language, Adult Situations
Time: Thursdays, 6:00 PM MDT (5:00 PDT/8:00 EDT)
Here is where the game is set:

The game is set up to be an A-Team type of game. You are one of four or five soldiers of fortune who have gone into the Shadows to deal with problems that the police can't solve. So if you need help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
The game will have some matrix and magical combat, I'll be utilizing all of the Resources I have at my disposal, but I should be able to make it fun and enjoyable. (note: in Shadows of North America, the city where the picture is taken is a low mana ebb, but this is 2072 -- after the SURGE and after CRASH 2.0. So there is a mana spike in that valley).
I need three people to fill the shoes of a Combat Team of Soldiers. We are using the 20th Anniversary Rulebook.
Normal build 400 points, the GM (me) will be using the Priorities System. You will come together in one session. Gamebooks allowed: 20th Anniversary Core Rulebook, The Runner's Companion, Arsenal, Unwired, Street Magic, Digital Grimoire, WAR!, Attitude, and Augmentation.
Restricted Options:No infected, no Drakes, no Changelings, no free spirits, and no AI. Infected do not make good PCs, since their dietary dependancy and number of head hunters after them makes them often difficult to GM, let alone play. I am just getting back into GMing Shadowrun after a long absence, so bare with me.
Drakes are too weird for what I want to create, and with the addition of Body Sculpting playing a changeling is a moot point anyways. Free spirits and AI just don't make sense as a PC, given their innate power (and on the other hand, their built in weaknesses) making it so they wouldn't fit well with the rest of the party or with this campaign in general.
Game Atmosphere: The Campaign is A-Team, but with a Shadowrun twist. It's going to be neo-pulp but it's going to be a bit twisted with noir elements that makes Dystopian fiction so iconic. (For instance, I'm using the Death Valley Free Prison supplement to ICE's Cyberspace in this game. ) You guys are on the run from Saeder-Krupp and you guys are hiding in the Shadows of Salt Lake City.
Overview:Yes I have the campaign where the Red Rain falls in the city. No, it's not going to be part of the backdrop. So we are making our own metaplot.
Suggestions on Magicians:If you are going to play a magician, I suggest either Hermetic Tradition (i.e. you graduated from the University of Utah with honors in Magical Theory, congratulations!), or the Theurgy Tradition. If you are going to do Shaman, I suggest being a Coyote/Trickster Shaman, Dog, or Eagle. No insect or toxic shamans. Now remember, these are just GM suggestions and should not impact on your creativity. Have fun creating characters.
Other than that, you are free!
