I have not played since 2nd edition (and indeed, have not played in an RPG for some time), but miss Shadowrun terribly, and luck be with me, I found The Forums. I have read up on the 4e rules and the shape of the world of 2070 and find it, if anything, slightly more awesome then ever before. (I am open to 3e games as well, but 4e was the latest I read).
I am comfortable with any kind of character, although my grasp on Decking (What is it, Hacking now?) and the more intricate bits of the full Mage/Technomancer rules is at this time weak.. I can play a high combat game, a steath/planning game, largely anything.. Sadly, while I am learning the rules, I have yet to use them, so my grasp may be shaky at first. A patient GM would probably be a good thing ^_^.
My long term goal is to play for a bit, and then return to GMing, which is what I usually did in my old groups, with modest success. I find that the world of 2070 is much more open to creative game ideas, but I want a more solid grasp of the rules before I try to GM it.
