Greetings,
I'm fairly new here on the forums. I stumbled in a little while ago, looking for material for Shadowrun. Clearing things up, trying to figure out what to expect. I wasn't sure of a lot of things, but I do know it looks like a very interesting roleplaying game and I would certainly appreciate a chance to try it out with someone patient and willing to listen to a newcomer's little questions.
Now I did join along at another place to play a game there but the small forum went down and hasn't shown any signs of resurrection. I have read the rules in the books, as well as those on this site on my signing up. I've been reading up on what has been going on, and checking a few already on-going games for some ideas too and how the actual play goes forth.
I am interested and want to take a step forward to join a game. At the time I am not sure if there's someone with a game needing players, if so, please poke a newb into the right direction. I'll openly admit I'm new to the game but I am eager to learn, and I prefer to roleplay rather than crunch numbers for the 'optimal build' usually. So if someone's willing to give a guy a chance, I'd be eager to step along.
I've got no real prejudice on race, role or gender in a game as such, and as I am testing things out I'd be willing to try and roles the game master might feel they're still missing. All I'm asking for is a chance to try and show I am someone that could be invited to a game and bring a laugh to the co-players and the game-master, but also be serious at the right times.
Anyhow, waiting to see how it goes.
