So for a year I was in the ammo platoon for my battalion we would load up a truck with about 10,000 rounds at the minimum, and go sit on it while each company would do ranges. So we would load up our mags, I mean all of them and switch off, get in the firing positions and fire to pass the time, besides it's easier to sort brass than count live ammo at turn ins. So I was given a lot of trigger time. We would shoot what we wanted on each turn of the targets. I had a sergeant yell at me because I was only shooting at the 300 and beyond targets. I told him to wait till I flagged him over to pass his judgement. 5 magazines later I flagged him over and proceeded to shoot a 40 out of 40. He asked why I wasn't doing that the entire day. I told him that I wanted more trigger time so I went for only the ones I regularly missed. I constantly shot in the upper 30's before that, after that if I shot less than a 39 I went and shot som more.
