So I am going to be running some Shadowrun for one of the LGS' here and we have a good chunk of people interested.  11 people made characters on Character creation day.

So I am looking for some thoughts and opinions on what to run.  I was thinking of the new Missions season, or maybe Ghost Cartels, or possibly Dawn of the Artifacts.  I'd love some guidance from the forums, any tips would be appreciated.

Out of those 11 people we'll be running two tables.  We have 4 Trolls, an Infiltrator, 3 mages, a face/hacker, a face/smuggler, a Rigger and a couple others for reference.

That is a pretty balanced team. As long as they are split into the two groups appropriately, they can form teams that can handle any situation. I would not recommend Dawn unless you want a brutal game or you are playing 400 BP. With that many people, On the Run is probably out. Are you playing a one-shot or a campaign? If it's a campaign, running Ghost Cartels may be a good idea.

If you want a one-shot for two teams, missions is probably your best bet. Or maybe a Fistful of Credsticks.

I would recommend that you do a few "getting to know each other" games. When my group started the GM's (At that point we had two GM's running the game so both had the chance to play at some point) ran some small games so the team had a chance to meet instead of all of us getting a call from a high up Johnson and having to meet for the first time doing a major run. It also allowed us some time to make a name for ourselves. We ran a few of the missions series, did the Dawn series, did more missions, just finished Credsticks and will be wrapping up Dawn next.

Not to be the twerp, but -- what do the trolls do?  Remember, just because they're 10' tall doesn't automatically mean they thump people on the head with their fists for a living.   Troll mages who deliberately overcast, relying on their high Body to soak the damage, are scary indeed...

Play the game. Don't try to win it.

Thanks guys.  All of the Trolls are indeed "thumpy" Trolls, as is the Ork.  The play group is made up of a majority of D&D players from the monthly events at the store, so for the most part those guys have made combat characters.  We did do the 400 BP build.

I think in the end it's best I run Missions Season 4, as there may be people available one weekend but not the next session.  Once they are read  may pull them onto another campaign.  Haven't picked up a Fistfull of Credsticks yet, so I will have to lok into that one.
