I had a campaign in which one of the players got ripped off by a dwarf in one of the early runs -- after that the character was not a fan of dwarves.  Of course I made him HAVE to work with a dwarf every couple of runs.
Are you -sure- that's what happened?

Let's see, in my current campaign we got:

A troll physical-adept  that HATES technomancers,
An elf gunbunny that believes only elves are 'real' people
A human samerai that believes it's 'ok' to sell Orcs into slavery
And a human face that just wants everyone to get along!!

I'd say racism/prejudice is alive and well in my campaign!
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

It's the other other white meat. (Except maybe for Troll. But when you're hungry you'll eat anything, and it beats paint chips. Mostly.)

I realized I'm fairly racist, but it's okay, because I've been to Korea.

Oh Gross! Do you realize what the typical meta eats these days? Nothing but artificial flavors and chemicals. Now if you had a wild or free ranged meta....

Sounds familiar...

We have a Hobgoblin who keeps referring to the Ork and Troll as either "Trog" or "Tusk-face",
A Dryad that mostly manages to tag "but...you're ugly" onto anything she says to the team,
A Fomori who is a Goblinized British noble who considers the entire team uncouth savages,
And the Ork who thinks that anything you say to him is Orksploitive, in some way - "This is because I'm an Ork, isnt it?"

Can't blame 'em for being right, you know.

So stealing those.

In most of my gaming, we haven't played any meta humans. And when we came up to one, it was stereotypical. Like the big ugly troll trying to kill you.

I really should instill more diversity in the games I am now GMing. Mainly because it's a big part of Shadowrun which has been untouched to the GMs I played to, making me not use it much.

Peace is a lie.

Have you actually had any contact with dwarves yet?
Have you refrained from making little jokes, short gags, small plays on words, tiny jives?

Or commenting on the eating habbits or the flamboyant look and style of every elf?

Or told an ork to his face that he is ugly?

Or tried to get a troll to understand that you called him stupid?

And by doing any of those proven, again, that racism is a sbcategory of dumb?

Especially in the World of Shadowrun.

We've had a few trolls and dwarves, as tough but dumb enemies, and worker people, respectively.

I blame my last GM, in my recent games that I am GMing, I shall integrate them in.
