@Team: I'll stand by if you want to check into those two more closely. But I suggest waiting to see if they leave with Steve or not; if they do, they're probably his backup.

Sundance drifted casually towards the table with the interested parties; not trying to attract attention, just be close enough to do something if a fight broke out.

Ghost can tell the woman is awakened and the man is not.  He doesn't recognize either of their auras from anywhere else.  More concerning though would be the large beast spirit astrally perched on the bar next to them.  Ghost gets the sense that all three are displeased with the group's presence.  In a five minute span they've seen someone trying to enter with a firearm despite warnings, another getting caught attempting to hack the public node and then a SINless hobo casting magic in full view of the crowd, needless to say, even a place without integrity still has rules, and this crew has broken a whole mess of them.

Before Clean Steve leaves, Jink takes a photo of him via his implanted commlink (presumably retains a camera function, maybe in a cyberfinger or something?). He sends the photo to his ex-wife and Vito's last known drop box, warning them that "Clean Steve" is dangerous and to steer clear of him.

"Frag me, but this aint gonna work out well for nobody," the rigger declares once Steve is gone. "Whoever Steve works for wants the eye, and they now know we have it. Next time we see Mr Steve, he won't be asking nicely. Well, frag, drek happens, eh?"

He gives the club security a friendly salute, downing the remainder of his synthascotch in a single gulp.

"Let's burn rubber, eh. Where we to next?"

As an after thought, he shoots a message to Harry Big Bones, seeking confirmation that Clean Steve has "taken over" his debt...

Jink calls up his bookie and inquires about is outstanding debts.  <<Connection - Harry Big Bones: "What?  It's late and I'm busy."  "Your mark?  Keppa?  Yeah, I know who you are.  An associate of mine took that account over and I was happy to let him.  He handles high-risk cases like you on the regular and he's reliable about it."  "What, are we friends now?  I don't know you from a hole in the ground and I don't care about what you did or what you do.  Only thing I know about you Keppa is that you make dumb bets with money you don't have.  I'm sure I knew a lot more about you, like where you live and all of that, but those records got handed over with your debt and I don't concern myself with what's past.">>

Ghosts talks to the team, "Yeah let's get out of here, we can discuss our next move in a more private setting.  We better be careful about being followed from this place.  I think those two at the far table are with the club and if we don't do anything stupid we'll be okay."

Ghost drops his detection spell.

Switch stands up.  His eyes wander over to the pair at the table before he nods to Ghost.  "Right, let's go."

So, the team got up and started filing out cautiously enough to not walk into anything, but quickly enough to beat the cops if they had been called.  Funnily enough, all the trouble they caused almost was a protection of sorts, since no one who valued their skin would try a move on them with a potential police response only seconds away.

Motoko meanwhile awoke in her armored truck with a headache and a slight nosebleed.  First Aid was pretty high on her list of priorities.

Motoko groaned as the dumpshock rolled off her. Whatever had dumped her from the system wasn't the IC, she'd been able to beat that easily enough. Though maybe they'd rebooted the system? Whatever. Her bad night was just getting worse, it seemed. Reaching over to her medkit, she let the autodoc do its thing.

Ghost calmly leaves the club while staying alert for more trouble.  He leaves and heads towards the "Swagger Wagon."  He wishes to himself that he never agreed to meeting with Steve in the first place.  They'd of been better off just getting on with the job.  He had no idea whether Steve had that last piece of tech to help them finish the job or if he knew of Breaker's girl.  Sure that Steve would try some way to track them he switched to astral perception on the way to the car.  Looked around for any spirits that might try to follow them.  This guy Steve knows all the tricks, the tech, magic and he know our weaknesses, a total pro.  I hope it doesn't come down to him or us, he thought to himself.

Switch walks with Ghost and Jink back to the Wagon.  He slaps Ghost on the shoulder: "Good talk, eh?  You said you knew someone that could help us out with this mess?"

Sundance meets back up with the others at the van.

"Yeah, we best move fast before Steve comes up with any more ways to interfere."

Taking Slugger up on his invitation to talk about the Legion, Ghost directs the team to head down to Brighton Mall in Tacoma.  His buddy there told him that there was a Blitz there, so it seemed like both a good place to hide out from any more corp teams and a great place to get lost if Steve had put a tail on them.

On the way, Ghost gives the cleaner-set types a quick history lesson about where they're headed, namely Route 66, the flavor of the month.  It's the latest blitz club, the 2050s version of the 'rave parties' that have enjoyed sporadic popularity since they started back in the bleak innocence of the '90s.  Toss together some portable mixing gear, a few hundred friends, and a public space, and you had an instant rave.

Blitz clubs work the same way, but with an important difference: they are conducted on private property, without the consent of the "host."  Instead, the night's "club owner" hires enough muscle to secure the dance floor and defend it for a few hours.  Trendy and dangerous, your average blitz is a who's who of street culture.  Route 66 is one of the best of its kind.  Tonight the blitz is going down at Brighton Mall.

By the time you get there at 2am. the party is in full swing.  A troll stands at the door, wearing nothing but a loincloth and a challenging look, while nearby, people are gyrating convulsively across the dance floor where the food court used to be.  A capacity crowd hangs out in the stores, but no one touches the merchandise: pilfering is against the blitz club code.  Late as it is though, you know it won't be long before Knight Errant shows up to pull the plug.  If you want to find Slugger or Breaker's girl, you'd better get moving.

The astral is not particularly active.  There are a few wards around some of the more sensitive stores, but the magical presence at the Blitz is very small.  The rowdiness of these types of gatherings causes a disturbance in the ambient energies which keeps the Wiz Gangs away.
No astral security at the party, and a BC of 1.
