@Onion Man: The tech is evolving so fast any more, every time that I turn around there seems to be another major advancement! Without getting into the Apple vs. PC end of things (I am a PC guy myself), I will say that competition is good. Consider if you will that bit of nastiness that Microsoft came out (the OS that shall remain unnamed) with after Windows XP, Apple publicly humiliated them and then Microsoft comes out with Windows 7. 8-)

It's not the one with your name on it; it's the one addressed "to whom it may concern" you've got to think about.

As a Vista power user, I can say without any doubt that if you ever experienced any problems with Vista (I never did), it was because your computer was outdated and not up to snuff (and I really pity the people that bought a laptop from lets just generalize.... Best Buy or WoolMart, that came preloaded with Vista on a rig that was never intended to be able to really run Vista.  Those minimum operating specs are the minimum it took to load Vista, not the minimum to load it AND run any sort of softs on it).

That said, 7 is without a doubt the most elegant and user friendly OS I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  If Apple had a marketing scheme other than "WIndows is the bad guy, so you should buy us" they could learn a lot about not sucking from Windows 7.

The nice thing about using the Wii remote to detect user activity on the tabletop is that it's a fraction of the cost of what Microsoft is likely to charge for their table.

It should be possible, using an under-table mounted Wii remote, to recognize IR-reflective dot patterns on the bottom of a miniature, no?

I imagine some pretty nifty stuff can be done with a Kinect, too.

Oh yeah, those tables cost a fortune for right now.  At leas6t the price is high enough to be listed as "Ask about an estimate".

You guys and your My Os is better than your OS.....  Gee I'm running both on the same hardware, at the same time.  Plus if I upgraded the memory a little, I'd add Ubuntu Linux.  The fun part is copy something in one OS and pasting it directly into the other OS.

I'm not saying I'm a Technomancer.  But my real life hardware helps me RP one!

Anyway...back on topic.

I would add Antenociti's Governance Of Technology line as something to take a look at. I have picked up some of their minis, in addition to their vehicles, and I am looking forward to painting them up.  :)

Many of the discontinued Common STAR WARS mini's can be used to represent Humans and Elves.  They are cheep and prepainted.

Some of the Modern Day Heroes by RAFM (I particularly like their drones) are also pretty good.
