(Since I cannot engage IC or Agent or sprite in combeat..and also "bots") cannot be crashed, this is the only thing I should be able to do to help...

Mouse you've made hacking rolls I assume you want to hack the master mall node. what kind if priviledges you're aiming for? Omar if you help him and teamwork, make your own hacking + exploit roll. your dices will add to the Mouse roll but the system will use your stealth rating to spot if anything is wrong.

Yes, Mouse is working on hacking the main node, I am going for a security level account.

Can sprite do a Matrix perception to analyze the data of the purchase being made at the internal booth (who's doing it, MAC address equivalent of the commlink)?
Sprite-->computer(4)+analyze(4):8d6.hits(5)=5
If it needs a hacking + sniffer check, then the number of dice remains the same.

The internal booth is a standalone screen that lists available merchandise. The purchases done with that thing aren't linked with the commlink of the buyer, the payment is done by certified credsticks. There is no way for the sprite to identify person making a purchase.

What you do know is that the commlink running agent is located withing the store. This might be the same person carrying that commlink as the one making the purchase but you can't confirm that.

just in case I wasn't clear - to crash the program you need to make an opposed roll Hacking + Exploit against node's Firewall +System

Mouse will attempt to scan for secret/hidden nodes at the Red Wire store. After scanning he will begin hacking on the fly (the hidden node, if he finds one, otherwise the main node. Or is hacking in to the main node needed first?

I think I have to hack the main node first:
Hacking+Exploit+2(TM)-2(sustaining) (target's Firewall, complex action) I'll roll up to 3 rounds: will make 3 combat rounds (9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=3, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=4, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=3, 9d6.hits(5)=0, 9d6.hits(5)=5, 9d6.hits(5)=2)
On the scan there are two variants, which should I use there?

I take those rolls. I haven't seen the response from Omar on whether he help you with the exploit.
Target is Firewall (5) + security privieldges (3) -> total 8 -> You reach the threshold in 4 combat actions.
Node gets Friewall (5) + Analyze(5) against your stealth (9) -> He also get 4 attempts.

The alarm was launched even before you got in.
10d6.hits(5)=4, 10d6.hits(5)=4, 10d6.hits(5)=2, 10d6.hits(5)=5

The node is on restricted alert against your access_id.
You may continue the hack or disengage (based on the rolls you have to get in you need another 2 complex actions).

well, it a teamwork test IMO. I didnt saw any rules that say that more people can work on the same thresshold...even if that would be nice
and maybe Ive overlooked that...
