Um. Please don't Troll me for the following

If there is a help forum. Could someone direct me towards it?

Anyway. I was surfing the web and heard about Shadowrun. This kind of game looks good and is my kind of style.
However. Where the hell do you buy it? And could someone give me a hand on introducing me to the game?

EDIT: Wait. Is this forum for the RPG or for the shooter?

It is for the pen and paper RPG, which has been going for quite a few years.

As said, this is a forum for the Shadowrun pen and paper roleplaying game, which originally debuted in 1989 and is currently in it's fourth edition.

You can get it at some bookstores, I know the core book and some sourcebooks are on the shelves at my local Barnes & Noble.

Alternately, you can buy it online. Battleshop is the official Shadowrun and Battletech purchasing site:
http://www.battlecorps.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=28

You can buy both books and PDFs there.

Shadowrun is also available from a few third party retailers:
http://www.rpgshop.com/ and http://www.rpgnow.com/ stock the books and PDFs respectively.
http://paizo.com/store/games/roleplayingGames/s/shadowrun/catalyst also sells both books and PDFs.

Welcome to the Forums, and don't mind the locals, they don't bite. Much.

If you're looking for info on the X-Box and PC shooter that came out a few years ago, we just recently had this topic come up here.

Doubtful.  They don't have the IP any longer so there's no reason to do so.

Likely the "Shadowrun" FPS just hit the discount bins somewhere and people are just finding out about it for the first time.  Or just thought about finding forums for it looking for Clans.

I have a few other suggestions, but Bull told me to play nice.

I suspect that some video game site had the Shadowrun forums linked there recently.

At least three or four souls looking for the video game have wandered in here the past week or so.

Actually, Microsoft pretty much permanently owns the Shadowrun (and Battletech) Video Game IP.

At the moment, SMith & Tinker have it licensed from them, same way CGL has the tabletop (and other) rights licensed from Topps.

At least around here, the shooter just got front-shelved in a lot of discount game stores and at $3-5 are selling fairly well. I know that on my last trip to FLGS, since I was known to be a 360 gamer and a Shadowrun RPG player, I was asked to join some Xbox Live parties for some shooter goodness.

Eh.  Old news.  This actually predates FASA closing, even.  The Video Game rights were part of the deal when FASA sold off FASA Interactive.

Oh, right, along with Crimson Skies.

That had so much potential...
