Oh, good god. Too many to list, really, but ...
My first character (elven decker), created about three months after SR came out (still have my 1st edition 1st printing hardcover, and in primo condition) went by ...
- Shockwave
- The Wyrm Ouroboros
- Ephasia
- Blackheart
... and several others. TWO is the enduring one, and by this point acts as a 'mastermind' for certain sorts of runs; 'we have to get into Unbelievably Secure Place and do X. We need information and a plan.' Dark Ring Designs goes to work. And like any other decker, he bashes code...
Others have always had only one name, pretty much:
- Mario Greymist, black panther (leopard) shapeshifter and shaman;
- Bork Greymist, his adept son;
- Doorman, an ork Dago Wolf shaman ganger who loved his Wrecker spell and baseball bat;
- Shivowtnoeh, a human Russian rigger-sorcerer;
- Little Washu, a genesculpted human scientist whose adaptive genetics eventually let her become an otaku, aka White IC;
- and Hawatari, my current long-time / redesigned human-looking elf biosamurai adept.
There are others, but I can't think of them just offhand. On the other hand, though, I've enjoyed developing contacts with panache as well...
- Mr. Cleaner: Cleaning and Clothing Services (cleans your blood-spattered clothing, vans to go to locations to help clean you or a site up -- think Mr. Wolf from Pulp Fiction). Also 'hires out' uniforms, power suits in the correct corporate fashion for your target, support accoutrements and the like.
- Old Man McKinley, Bar Owner (The Bottom Line, dwarf club w/ 4-5' ceilings) and ex-combat mage.
- The Leatherjackets, moderate (20-25 member) street gang in the Boise area of Auburn; they got their name from the jackets they made from the skin/pelts of the critters they killed to protect their area. Doorman's gang; he had a leather long coat taken from a bandersnatch he'd killed.
- Bubbles, female surfer girl and Malibu shaman. Like, y'know?
- FloP/S, matrix-contact-only decker with some persecution issues. Big on the conspiracy boards.
- Cancelled Czech, an Eastern European political sort.
- t3h cute ones, an otaku tribe working as sysops and protection under Little Washu's leadership in the Seattle / West Coast servers for Paranormal Crisis. (ph34r t3h cut3 0n3s ...)
- The 410 Twin -- Drive In Movies, unofficial car show, underground racing, and an underground rigger garage. Again in the Auburn district. Run by ...
- Brutus, smuggler and mechanic, friend to Cascade Ork and Vory alike.
And dozens of others, of course. Play long enough, in multiple places, well, you lose a lot of them, and control over some of them. Ah, just remembering how Overwatch got started...
And sorry guys, but clearly the core focus and intelligence of Overwatch got corrupted somewhere along the way... but I guess you need to let the PCs figure some things out for themselves.
