Ministry Of Love would be a great name for my Deathcore/Folk group.

Edit: also what's Rat to the Face?
Kids today.   >:(

The book, 1984 by George Orwell.  A must read in order to nail down a dystopian future.

In the book, there's a cage that goes onto a person's head, where a hungry rat is put into, and slowly moves towards the face.  And, as the drunk person told us, it's the Ministry of Love that does things like this, and far, far worse.

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--for ever." - 1984
I got myself a T-Shirt that reads:"1984 was NOT meant as an instructional manual!"

Yeah, but that breaks down if you know how to play the system:

Between 1984 and Brave New World...I'd say Brave New World is "duh, winning" in the prophetic dark future prediction arena, though (what with enslaving the population through feeding them mindless entertainment and all)...or at least it was in the 90's...'84's started to make a comeback, but I'd still say keeping the people in line through entertainment sedation works much easier.

But good arguments can be made either way.

I still think that The Matrix The Society of the Spectacle wins.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Spectacle is...

The smiting always bothered me, to be honest.  That nagging worry, that I did something wrong, and I don't know what it is! ???

Don't worry about thr smiting it really doesn't mean anything. My smitings come from stealing a taco (not even a real one) and a bad pun I think. It's the positive rep that really means something, it means somebody appreciated what you had to say.
