I'd also get Compiling and Registering, honestly I'd drop Hardware and Cybercombat in return. That way you can call on Sprites to help you.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

Hmmmmmmm okay , so making a technomancer main hacker Works ! But , is necessary to have 6 resonance on the beggining ? Or can I get well with 4 ?

It's not necessary, but it's the cheapest spot to do so. For compiling and registering, it's definitely a big help.

Can you explain me how does working on the matrix seems ?? I don't really understand , do a decker or technomancer stay separated of the group while working on the matrix ??? Like in a parallel World ??? Conected to various cables ?? Is the matrix something like this ?? Will I need to be separed from the group while in hacking ??

You can hack wireless while on the move, this enable you to hack while walking with your team, as a team. Later, when you get the skinlink echo, you can also physically touch slaved devices to create a direct connection - that way ignoring host ratings.

But you can also hack wireless via virtual reality for extra speed and bigger dice pools, however, while doing this your meat body will be unconscious - which mean this is mostly used when your body is safe (perhaps back in your apartment or perhaps in a van outside the facility that the team is infiltrating... but it can also be used a few seconds in the middle of an infiltration while your team is watching over your body).

Technomancers and Deckers can both hack wirelessly. A Decker has to form a Persona through their Deck, the Technomancer has a Living Persona by themselves. A Technomancer is restricted because they can't (easily) get programs and deck upgrades, while a Decker cannot gather several Sprites to quickly assist them. Each has their own style.

technomancers can hack this way , wireless whitout any cyberdeck or something like this .
Yes. What I wrote above was for Technomancers.

In addition to wireless hacking (like a decker using a cyberdeck), Technomancers can also use sprites (almost like spirits - that only exist in the matrix) and complex forms (almost like spells - that only work in the matrix). A regular decker using a cyberdeck can not use sprites or complex forms. This is special for Technomancers.

Deckers on other hand may establish a direct connection with the retractable cable that the cyberdeck comes with (technomancer first need to submerge and get the skinlink echo), they can buy programs for just a few nuyen (technomancers need to submerge and get the resonance [program] echo, which is often not worth it), deckers get to reconfigure their existing matrix attributes (technomancers need to spend karma to raise their mental attributes), decker's cyberdeck will soak matrix damage (technomancers will soak matrix damage with their own condition monitors).

Generally speaking technomancers use all the rules that deckers use, but you also need to learn about living personas, sprites, complex forms, submerge and echos. For this reason it is often easier (less rules to learn) by playing a decker as your first matrix specialist....

Can you explain please ??
Where to start? :-)
And can you be a bit more specific what you have issues with...?

Instead of having a device based persona, like a decker that get his matrix attributes from a cyberdeck, you instead have a living persona that get its matrix attributes directly from your mental attributes (Attack = Charisma, Sleaze = Intuition, Data Processing = Logic, Firewall = Willpower).

To open a maglock (wireless - from a distance) you;

  • Gain access on the lock
  • Open the lock

To place your mark on a maglock (to get access on a maglock) you roll your Hacking skill + your Logic attribute [Limited by your living persona's Sleaze attribute, which is equal to your Intuition attribute]. If the lock is part of a Personal Area Network or a Host network then it will oppose the test with the Intuition of the Owner / Spider (corporate hacker that is monitoring the host) + Firewall attribute of the PAN / host. If it is an unattended stand alone maglock that is not part of any network (or if you touch it with a skinlink echo) then it will instead oppose the test with Device Rating (instead of Intuition) + Device Rating (it's Firewall is equal to its Device Rating). This is the Hack on the Fly matrix action. This is a complex action.

To open the maglock after you placed your mark on it (gained access to it) is resolved as an opposed Electronic Warfare + Intuition [Sleaze] v. Intuition + Firewall test. This is the Control Device matrix action. This is a free action (that you take in the same action phase as the hack on the fly action above).

Both technomancer and decker can do this.

If you already have a mark (access) on the maglock's owner then you also have this option:

  • Using the mark the maglock's owner to command the maglock to open itself.

This is resolved as an opposed Hacking + Intuition [Sleaze] v. Logic + Firewall test. This is the Spoof command matrix action. This is a complex action.

Both technomancer and decker can do this, but it require that you already have a mark on the owner.

As a Technomancer you also have the option to thread complex forms. If you have the complex form Puppeteer then you can use this to force the lock to open itself on its next action, even without having access (marks) on either the lock or its owner.

  • Puppeteer lock to have it open itself.

Puppeteer is resolved as an opposed Software + Resonance [Level] v. Willpower + Firewall test.

After threading a complex form you also need to resist Fade (which is almost like drain that magicians resist after casting a spell). The fade value of puppeteer is Level + 1. And the threshold to force the device to take a free action is 2. This is resisted with Resonance + Willpower. If you fail to get enough hits you will take the remaining as damage.

Only technomancer that also know how to thread the puppeteer complex form have this option.

My whole problem was with the matrix , I understand the complex forms , and spirites . But the thing I did not understood was if I needed to be on the matrix "alternative reality" or "3D world" to do hacking . But now I know about wireless hacking , thanks to you ;) .

You can "only" hack via wireless (unless you have a skinlink echo).

You either hack wireless via Augmented Reality (while walking around, for example with your team) or wireless via cold-sim or hot-sim Virtual Reality (your body is unconscious back in the van outside).

Resources vs Resonance , what should I choose ?? Starting with 4 resonance and 50000 nuyens or 6 resonance and 6000 nuyens , I can also use Karma for expanding the nuyens I have , but that would cost 10 karma . That could be useful for complex forms and sprites .

A Technomancer doesn't require much nuyen, in return 6 Resonance means you get tasks out of sprites more easily. You also would have more Edge, right? Having a reroll-all-failures available is always good to fall back on.
