In Cutting Black, Insect Spirit soldiers, workers, and even alpha merges have the Astral Form power and no Materialization power.  Per the CRB description of Astral Form: "A critter with this power only exists on the astral plane."

They shouldn't have Materialization anyway, but Inhabitation. Basically, without their hosts, they can't impact the flesh at all.

I assumed soldier and worker were True Form, as listed.  Unless that's not a thing anymore.
