Whoa! Let me get this straight. Their going to throw more rule books onto this dumpster fire before they actually fix the main rules? And you all are going to actually give them money for it. LOL! Suckers. I don't know why it surprises me?
Seriously, when those NPC cards are misprinted what are you going to do? What good is a weapons book going to do you when the main combat rules need rework? And speaking of the NPC cards; are they going to reflect any errata?
6th edition needs to be entirely reworked before anything can go forward. But go ahead and keep giving them money for garbage. OR... you can not buy their products until they get the message. If they go under, it's their own fault. Like it has been stated somewhere else, Topps owns the IP. They'll license it out to someone else.
Theoretically, 6th Edition offers a lot of mechanics to make some of the more underwhelming stuff in Run&Gun (f.i., the lame Martial Arts rules) more worthwhile this time. And it
could be a place where some of the glaring misbalances and rules gaps can be closed besides the official errata: More nuanced rules for Armor, updated rules for Edge gain (including Drones etc.), bad FA rules, Bad APDS rules, Strengthless melee, actual Shotgun rules instead of the bad joke that is Flechette Ammo...
But I highly doubt that any of the feedback towards the CRB could have made a substantial impact on the supplement in such a short time, even if the team would have dropped that "If we donīt fix it, it was never broken" attitude for once.
Hereīs my prediction for
Firing Squad:
- Absolutely nothing about Edge limits
- Absolutely nothing about Armor...
- ... besides the return of Milspecc, which will be or just as insane as in previous Editions.
- Absolutely nothing about Strength being a dumb stat besided unarmed combat...
- ... except maybe some MA options to take Strength totally out of the equation even for that

- Lots and lots of guns and weapons, which, apart from one or two obvious uber-alternatives, will just be copies of the ones in the CRB with some numbers pushed around.
- If thereīs still MA in the book: Most MA Techniques will be gated behind an Edge cost, most of them so high that they will never be used in action.
- The 2-3 most interesting pieces of crunch will have their tables botched or missing entirely
- No rules that use Wild Dice
- Bonus: Still no flamethrowers or other spray weapons (TBH, thatīs very likely going to be in the book. But honestly, it wouldnīt surprise me if it wasnīt
) - Nice, flashy artwork (Gotta give credit when its due)
So yeah. Go ahead, proof me wrong
