Here is his background. I've attached his character sheet below. The logo is something I made in photoshop. I used Brusheezy.com for the splatter brushes. I hope you like Biggie!

Bartholomew Jackson, known on the streets as Biggie Blast, was born and raised in the Seattle Barrens and scraped by on a meager existence for nearly his entire childhood. Being a troll didn't help matters much in interactions with his classmates so he had few friends outside of the trolls that he met. This would influence some of his decisions later in life.
After managing to graduate he joined the UCAS military to escape gang life and found his calling as a combat infantryman. His natural aptitude with guns and hand to hand combat made him an asset in missions requiring those skills. He was a key player in several operations in the Euro theatre where he earned the respect of his peers. Biggie was especially admired by his commanding officer who arranged for Biggie's bioware to be implanted. Biggie was so thrilled at the physical improvements provided by his enhancements that he neglected to ask about the condition of the bioware being installed in his body. It was used, and so wasn't properly attuned to his physiology. He went through a painful period of biological adjustment to the new enhancements as a result.
To make things worse Biggie discovered that his very existence had been burned by the military. During a particularly sensitive covert operation the order was given to wipe the identities of all the missions participants in order to "protect them from any retaliation attempted by foreign agents". This perceived betrayal soured Biggie on the military and he demanded to be discharged from the service. He was able to get his release through the influence of his commanding officer but his identity would remain burned. The relationship between Biggie and his commanding officer soured after this, but in recent times they have repaired their relationship and Biggie can now call on him in times of need. Secretly Biggie believes that his commanding officer is watching him and periodically reporting on his activities back to the UCAS.
After leaving the military Biggie decided to pursue his dream of becoming a Hip Hop artist. He met LuLu Delight, a troll exotic dancer that doubled as a talent manager for up and coming talent in the area. Through her, Biggie learned about the Hip Hop game and began learning about the entertainment business. During this time Biggie discovered that LuLu had connections outside of the Hip Hop business. She knew a few fixers that were interested in Biggie as a runner because of his military experience. Biggie jumped at the opportunity to use the skills he learned in the military to make the nuyen he needed to help him in his Hip Hop aspirations. One of the fixers Biggie worked with hooked him up with dwarf forgery specialist. After doing a few favors in the shadows for the specialist Biggie was able to attain a series of high quality fake Sins that allowed him to live a somewhat normal existence.
Biggie has managed to land a few gigs around Seattle's Troll Hip Hop scene. He is somewhat concerned that this might interfere with his secret life as a runner but as he gains a name for himself those worries are becoming more distant. This distance was reinforced when a pair of young beautiful elven socialites began to take a liking to Biggie. Biggie was giddy at their interest and decided he wanted them around him as often as possible. This costs Biggie a part of every score he makes on runs but he thinks their presence in his public life add to his image as a Hip Hop artist so he puts up with their constant demands on his Nuyen. He also remembers how he was treated by other non troll metahumans growing up and feels that the ladies give him some kind of vindication for that period in his life.
Today Biggie is a committed artist by day and runner by night. He is known in the runner world as a dependable hand on many types of runs. The people he works with know that Biggie follows a code of honor, a kind of pirates code that Biggie believes is a by product of his military service. Biggie won't betray anyone he works with on a run and always does everything he can to keep up his end of the plan. On a run Biggie is always ready to rumble in hand to hand and more than knows his way around firearms. Biggie prefers runs where he gets to use these skills to their fullest and then get out with as much Nuyen as possible.

I'm working on a very similar character, although using Athletics for thrown weapons rather than Firearms.

I'm guessing you did Attributes A, Resources B, Metatype C, Skills D, Magic E, is that correct?

How did you spend your starting karma?

Actually it went like this.

Attributes A
Race B
Resources C
Skills D
Magic E

I spent 24 on attributes and then with my race points I put 3 each in body and strength and the other 5 in edge. Then I did my qualities and ended up with a net 10 karma which brought my karma total to 60. Then I spent my 16 skill points, 4 points a skill. My language and knowledge skills were free. Then I spent 10 karma on two specializations for Firearms, Pistol and Close Combat, Unarmed. The rest of my karma I traded for nuyen which gave me an extra 100,000 at 2000 per point. Then I bought gear.

I you going to have elven girlfriends too?  :)

Try this:

Swap Race and Resources so you end up with Race C and Resources B.

Drop Charisma and Logic to 1. That saves you three attribute points. You're going to lose two adjustment points, so take two of those attribute points and add them to Body/Strength, wherever you lost the adjustments points. Add that extra attribute point into Reaction or Willpower, your choice.

Now, you picked up an extra ¥125,000 by going Resources B. That means you don't have to buy nuyen with karma anymore. That saves you 50 karma, and earns you an extra ¥25K on top of that.

Take that 50 karma you saved from nuyen, spend 10 of it to advance Charisma back up to 2, and spend 25 (10+15) to get Logic back up to 3. Now you're back to where you started in terms of Mental attributes.

End result
+ 1 Reaction or Willpower
+ ¥25K
+ 15 karma that you can now spend on other things, like a rank or two of Athletics

A good trade, all from swapping two priorities.

Awesome! I hadn't thought of doing that. In the future I will re-examine the relationship between racial points and any other priority. Thanks again.

Rock on.

The culprit is actually the scaling between priorities ranks, and how it differs between priority types. There's such a huge jump between Race D and C (+5 adjustment points) and then a tiny jump to Race B (+2 adjustment points).

My prediction is that as we see more people create characters, we'll see Attributes A as the default for most characters, with Race D for mundane humans and Race C for everyone else.
