Hi all,

I have been building a Magician and noticed there is an enormous difference in the gear cost of Magical Foci between the main rulebook and Street Magic.  In the main book for example a Power Focus costs 25,000 per force rating, in Street Magic it's 2,000 per Force Rating.

As far as I can see there is no other difference re acquiring them, in char gen you buy then spend build points, in game you buy then spend Karma.

As my GM is inclined to stay with main rules until this difference is explained, may I ask why the change was made and if there are any other factors involved in the change in cost?  My magician's effectiveness waits upon your answer.

The prices listed in Street Magic are for Focus Formulae, which are the recipes for Enchanters to make the foci. So that's the cost of the recipe, not the focus itself.

Yeah, that 2k per force points only gets you book/stack of notes/text file/stone tablet explaining how to make the kind of foci in guestion, not a ready to use foci.
