I can't decide between these two similar looking Shotguns for  char creation Krime Boss and the Falcion.  My issue is the Accuracy of both, fire rate and the standard accessories.

The Accuracy of the Boss is super horrible at 3 (4 with my adept enhanced accuracy) while the Falcion is at 5 (7) which is I'm guessing because of smartlink?

Does the ability of the burst/full auto of the Krime Boss outweigh the better accuracy/single shot of the Falcion?

The Falcion on the other hand has the advanced safety, trigger removal, melee hardening, smartlink and something called electronic firing, could someone explain this to me?

When I can find the money/contact to get me the Forbidden Mossberg is that better than both the Boss and the falcion?

Krime/Falcion are in Gun Heaven and Mossberg is in Run and gun.

Electronic firing is when an electronic spark is used to fire bullets rather than the traditional hammer/striker mechanism used in most firearms.

When you are on the receiving end of flechette burst fire or even suppression fire you will not question the need for single shot or burst fire full auto combo. With hard targets out and various mods you can do to that Crime Boss it is a very potent weapon. The only downside to the full auto or burst fire capabilities is the fact that you need to have a strength and recoil comp to not take penalties. But again various mods and whatnot can compensate to a point for that

The low accuracy of the Krime Boss doesn't realy matter, but a smartlink on it and add a personalized Grip and you'
re already at 3(6) with you adept ability it's 7.
Also keep in mind you can always get an additional accuracy when using "take aim".

For the Mossberg: unless it was errata'd you can take it at creation since it does have an availability of 12.
The advantages are that you have Full auto mode, which means you can not only fire long salvos for a bigger DP reduction of the target, but also can do so as a small action. And of course full auto if you really wann kill someone.
But with the small magazine you're gonna have to reload often if you do that.
The other problem of the Mossberg is of course that it's forbidden, which means if some security/police sees you with it you're in trouble.
Of course if you're currently doing something illegal anyway it doesn't matter but it always pays to be prepared for a "random police patrol" while in public.

Overall the general rule applies take BOTH, use the Krime boss as your main weapon(put some nice upgrades on it, smartlink is a must). And get the mossberg for runs which need a bit of extra punch.

I'm just popping in to say that, although not chargen-legal, the Auto-Assault 16 is in fact superior to all other shotgun options. Yes, it's a bit pricey, it doesn't come with its own smartgun system and it's not the most accurate shotgun. But, it has the highest shotgun damage, full-auto capability, a respectably large ammo drum and (this is the really important bit) 2 points of built-in recoil compensation that aren't attached to any accessories. Slap gas vent 3 and a shockpad onto the AA-16 and you've got yourself 6 recoil compensation. I'd do even though I don't even need that much, just so that the decker or someone else could use it if I went down.

If I were you, OP, I'd take the Krime Boss as your default shotgun and add some mods to it but instead of buying the Mossberg as your serious business shotgun save your chargen money and purchase the AA-16 with accessories after your first run.
After all you don't send an electrician to fix your leaking toilet.

Now how does smart link add 2 accuracy? I thought it was only 1. Keep in mind this is for a Mystic Adept so adding any cyber is unlikely.

Is that the difference between an internal and external smartlink?

The Smartgun system has a number benefits, Desiani, but there are two very important ones.  It increases the Accuracy of a weapon by 2 while active (the number in the parenthesis).  It also gives a dice-pool bonus of +1, or +2 if implanted.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

Oooh. So the main difference is if it's in contacts vs implant is it adds 1 or 2 dice?

yep, but only as WiFi-Bonus.

Also for the smartlink to work you need to have either a Wifi on and a DNI(helmet with trodes solves that problem)
or have a cable going from the gun to your glasses.

Thanks :D  The Krime Boss sounds fun.

Is there a difference between the external or internal?

The external one takes up one of the external slots, however since it's better than most of the other accurace/scope slot modifications and the addition of the side slot, this rarely matters.

Also it's cheaper for the vast, vast majority of guns.
