Attached is an hastely drawn map of what I had in mind. This floor is essentially living quarters + operation rooms. There are six rooms, (each will have two pairs of military style beds (one on top of the other) and few crates with personal belongings.)

As you approach operation past a certain point the drones begin cleaning the corridor and for some reason head directly toward you. You did not post a perception roll but I assume that you did not spot the security guards and we should wait for Ayato to see if he spots them and give him a chance to react.

But in that case we'd probably have checked the rooms left and right before we move past them - from what you wrote I assumed they would swarm us the second we move out of the elevator.

But yeah, with -6 to perception (I assume you meant real noise not matrix noise) I don't have enough dice left for 4 successes. I assume thermo and low light vision wouldn't help.

Perception: 12d6t5 7  Ayato sees everything,  Stuttr will lay down suppressive fire for the initial combat pass...I'll roll initiative just in case initiative: 4d6+11 27  Oh wow I guess I missed that you need 4 hits and a -6 to dicepool.  Would noise interfere with a visual perception check?

Alright, the log + willpower is for a mana based illusion spell, but I will not tell you which one exactly.

Interesting. If its mana based would the thermo-vision in Kynos' glasses be able to pierce the illusion - or at least show a discrepancy with heat signatures where nothing is visible?

Well it fools your mind so it does not matter what you see - you do not comprehend it. If it is an invisibility spell then your eyes do see the man (he is not invisible) but your mind ignores it.  Lets keep them for simplicity as illusion spells that only affect metahuman observers while the spell active. (regardless of the hardware they use). I think being almost identical in drain to physical illusions this is the balanced approach.
