Alejandro “Xander” Johnson was named for a runner companion of his father.
When Xander was 9 his father geeked the wrong mage. The mage had some very powerful friends.
Xander witnessed the assassination of his father at the hands of a True Form Anansi and
ever since Xander has a repulsion to arachnids. Xander fled with only the ring his father had made
him and the clothes on his back. It was this event that awakened his powers. He managed to survive
the streets. He started using his powers more and more and started allowing the possessing entity
to do whatever doing- so much so, that things most street rats learn out of hand, like sneaking and
palming, is almost impossible to do unaided. Xander could never figure out why unlike the few other
Conjurers he knew, his entities could possess him but not materialize. Finally, someone in passing
mentioned an interview they saw on the trid show. Xander started faithfully following the Matrix
commentator Pierre Dubois- and most of his knowledge on magic are based on Dubois. Xander is
convinced that the entities that possess him aren’t entities at all but different parts of his subconscious
such as the ID or Super Ego. He’s savvy enough not to make fun of other mages and their beliefs
even if all that mumbo jumbo is drek. Xander would like to track down his father’s killer but he knows
he isn’t strong enough yet. So while he plans on revenge it isn’t the driving force in his life right now.

Xander used to own a Kabuyara but it got stolen recently from,from all places, in front of a
KE substation- seriously, if you can’t park in front of the police, what is this world coming to?
To add insult to injury, the credstick with the rent went with the bike so he’s took a loan from
the mob to make ends meet this month. The two guys behind the ‘loan officer’ didn’t look like
the forgiving type so it’s time to do another ‘run’, quick.
