Tabitha laughs.  "Sure, Spokane, I understand.  Everyone wants to get paid.  Gotta eat, right?  All I got left is a couple thou on some sticks.  You can have it if you want it.  Beyond that I can promise medical care for life if you can get me out of this."

>>Guards are 100 each per week.  Better guards are 300 each.<<

You get assents from everyone still out in the bar.  Tabitha looks relieved that you are going to help her.

Sure, throw in a couple of regular guards I'll pay you the first week when we get there, 1200 a week.

At the safe house Spokane goes over the plan.  Okay Phil and Al you two will be on primary guard duty, Steve and I will help out but Steve Dog and I will be doing some recon as well.  The three of us will approach the clinic and send drones magical recon to assess the situation and I will make entry after a sit rep.  If there looks like a lot of trouble we'll call in the cavalry.  Let's hit the clinic then the house.  Any questions?

At the clinic we will have Steve send a drone in and have Dog either scout it astrally or send a watcher whichever he prefers.

Sasha and several hard men are waiting at the building when you get there.  "These two will stay and guard the building and your people.  They have been told to obey your instructions.  They are loyal soldiers and will not run in a fight if it comes to that.  Try not to damage the building."  He takes your money and departs, leaving two of the men behind.  The building is nothing to speak of from the outside and little better on the inside, not more than a bare bones place.  There is a small living area, a smaller kitchen, and two bedrooms.  A small bathroom is available, but you were told that the shower is intermittent and the hot water ration is only sixty total minutes a day for the apartment.

Phil and Al nod but look at the two gangsters as if wondering what their role is.

The KE officers had strung some yellow tape about the building the clinic is in but that been cut or broken in several places.  There is no KE presence at the site when you arrive, but both Steve and Dog can tell you that there are people inside the clinic, probably squatters by the clothes they are wearing.  The drone feeds show you that the inside of the place has been looted of anything usable and the current residents seem to be sleeping...........or passed out, which is more likely.

Spokane speaks up at Phil and Al's looks.  I know you seem redundant but while those guys fight the baddies you two are in charge of Docs safety, you get her out of here and someplace safe right?  I don't trust these soldiers to do that, savy?  Also when I said call in the cavalry that's you right?  This is just recon, when we hit these guys I'm sure we will all have plenty to do.

Spokane approaches the clinic stealthily and searches the place looking for any clues that may have been left behind.  If any of the squatters wake he will ask them what they know about what happened and he will check faces for the cross  tattoo, just in case one is infiltrating.  After investigating we will move on to the home.

During the recon Spokane reaches out to feather again  >>>I know you are busy but I need to pick up a few burner coms.  just basic but clean.  I can pick them up later today if you have them.<<<

The place is a mess, with furniture and equipment tossed all around.  You find six squatters in several locations, none of whom have the cross tattoo under the right eye.  The surgery room has a lot of blood on the floor, but there is little of interest that can be seen in a quick search.  While you are inside you get a message from Feather.  >>Hey, Spokane.  What do you need my help for with that?  Go to the local 'Shack and pick them up.<<

The approach to Tabitha's house is uneventful, but Steve hisses when you are about a block out.  >>Keep driving, guys.  Men with guns are in the house and there may be people watching."

>>>Show me.<<<  Spokane counts who he can see the spread and if there are patrols.  >>>You said there might be someone watching?  Like offsite or from inside the house?  Do you see Tabitha's father anywhere?<<<

The drone feed shows you an old man sitting in a chair conversing jovially with two companions.  It would be all rather innocuous if the older man's arms were not in such a position that would indicate that his arms might be tied.  The guns on the laps of the other men is probably not a good sign either.  >>Don't know.  But it it were me, I would have someone, or some thing, watching the house.  A sniper or a drone, maybe."

Dog's response comes in right after.  >>There are no astral watchers at the moment.<<

From a few blocks away we will continue surveillance and attempt to discern if there are any obvious drones or people watching the house with the drones and Dog.

Spokane contacts Phil Ask Doc if her father has any weird security, like bullet proof glass or a door code I can use to sneak in.

There are no obvious observers, but Steve reminds you that she could control drones from much farther than this and some of them are very hard to find.  Dog is pretty sure that there are no astral observers.

>>No special security.  Door code is 1-2-3-4.  The Doc is getting antsy about why you are asking these questions.  Do you need our help out there?"

don't think so.  Couple of armed mooks is all.  Nothing I can't handle... and really 1 2 3 4, she thought that was a good idea?

Anyone got a van?  I think we may need to transport some bodies.

So here's the plan.  I sneak up there infiltrate and pump in a few concussion grenades.  Shoot any mook who isnt unconscious.  Get the father out of there and interrogate who we can afterwards.  If you have a spell that could help with the stealthy part that would be great, if not... well its easier to sneak up humans than deer I guess.  Any questions.

Once ive explained and answered any questions I sneak to the house and put the plan into action.  Preferably using a backdoor or something. If I need to make entry into the same room as the mooks I will pump the grenades through the window instead.

Wait a tic...the timing of this is awefully coincidental...but that would be weird...can't hurt to check I guess.

Hey Feather, I'm probably crazy but the timing on this is too coincidental.  That guy Gordy Valenz or whatever.  The one shot up that the KE found, did he have three bullet wounds to the head?  You got a picture of this guy?

>>Well, that I can help you with.  Now don't tell the KE where you got this if they find it on you, yeah?  Attachment coming your way.<<  The attachment he sends you contains a couple of morgue photos of a young man laying on his back on a table.  The bullet holes in the man's forehead are clearly visible.  So is the tattoo of a cross under the eye.

>>>Well Feather that cross looks awfully familiar doesn't it.  Looks like these are the same guys that's been making a mess all over town.  I guess you need to start back digging on that too, at least that gives you another vector of inquiry.  Also find out about the female victim, see if she has a SIN we can track.  I'm sure KE has the same idea but maybe we can get to her before they do.<<<

Just to be sure Spokane sends the picture to Phil to see if Doc can give us a positive ID on the guy.

So we clear on the plan?  Any questions before I head out?  Any stealthy spells Laughing Dog?

You get a response back from both contacts.  Tabitha does not recognize the dead man and Feather agrees to go back to work on his research.

Laughing Dog can hide you, giving you a better chance to sneak up on the house.  Steve touches your arm.  "Hey be careful, right?  And remember that there are people living in the houses to either side, too.  Try not to kill them and starting a fire out here might be a bad idea."

that's the same cross though right? Still a pretty big coincidence

I'll be careful they are just concussion grenades, the shouldn't kill anyone.  Shooting is last resort.  Promise.

Spokane begins his approach on the house.

Dog does something and Steve confirms that you are nearly invisible while standing still.  Dog nods.  "Yeah, you be invisible, alright.  This is sight only, but the spell will protect you against tech visual sensors, too.  Others will be able to detect you by noise or smell, though, so be careful.  Call if you need help."

Your approach to the house seems to be completely undetected and your feed from the drone observing the inside of the building through the window indicates that both of the guards appear to be alert but not alarmed.
