I started making this guy as a joke but now I'm kind of interested in playing him. He's an adept who lost both legs in a terrible accident, and got cybered replacements with rating 6 hydraulic jacks. The goal here is to jump as high as possible, or at least jump over the heads of his enemies while spraying bullets from his cyberleg.

Gymnastics Rolls: 29 dice (Gymnastics 6, Agility 9, Mentor Spirit 2, Specialization 2, Light Body 4, wireless hydraulic jacks 6)
With an agility of 9, his "natural" limit for jumping in meters is 13.5. This is heavily modified, however, by light body and hydraulic jacks.
Light body adds 4 to his agility for purposes of calculating jump distance, bringing his functional agility up to 13 and his max meters jumped to 19.5.
Rating 6 hydraulic jacks provide a +120% boost to maximum jumping distance giving me, if I'm not mistaken... a max jump of 42.9 (or 43 I guess) meters. or about 141 feet. Of course, that would require 21-22 hits. He would have to use Edge and get incredibly luck to get that kind of height but this guy could conceivably jump skyscrapers.

Be aware, that I'm sure a GM would not let you get away with this. Adding 4 to your Agility, which is already at 9, when calculating your maximum jumping distance is questionable. Magic and ware stacking like this is questionable. Letting me add that massive +120% boost to jump distance as the last step of the calculation would be the most generous possible ruling. So this guy would need a certain amount of GM buy-in, but he looks pretty hilarious if he's allowed to "fly high" as it were.

I remember a shooter with the halo-jumping effect of getting serious height. Then you played a few low gravity missions, and you could jump high enough to take damage on the way down.

That's the problem I see here. You'd hit heights that deal enough damage to splatter you over a good chunk of sidewalk.

Jumping up is not the same as jumping long per core (different calculations).

I'd rule you could use the cyber legs and light body, you paid essence after all.

I'd calc it as 120% of base agility and add the light body agility bonus to that to stop things getting too silly

Equip him with airfoils so that at the peak of his jump they unfurl like batmans cape and he can glide down

Ceilings HATE him!!!

But, seriously, what's his plan when he's indoors?

I agree with adzling: I'd have no issues stacking Light Body with hydraulic jacks.

Are you sure you want to put all those points into Improved Physical Attribute (AGI)? Your legs already have Customized/Enhanced AGI, so right now those 3 power points are only really benefiting Throwing Weapons (or shooting with your arms with guns you don't have).

On that note, no Sneaking? No Etiquette?

No matter how many hits you get, you canít jump farther than your Agility x 1.5 meters (net hits be-
yond this mean you did it with style).
For a vertical jump, itís the same test, but you get half a meter of altitude per hit and the maximum you can jump is 1.5 times your height.

There are hard limits. High jump is capped at height x1.5 not AGI. By RAW adept powers and ware do not modify that unfortunately.  (I built a frogman changeling adept with a jumping shtick once.Started with a random Surge and the sort of took a life of its own)
