I've wrapped up Date Night and am about to start on the third chapter of this storyline and it's a great place to add new players. The two previous chapters of this storyline were Lullabye & Goodnight, and Date Night. Both threads together are over four thousand posts long and I don't expect you to read them. Yes, the guys in this game are tight with each other. That absolutely shows in and out of the game. But they have consistently shown a willingness to welcome new players with open arms. The only reason I have drops are because said new players consistently get shocked at just how heavy the RP is. So, let me say this, 3000 posts in Date night, 2 combats that took as little time as the players could make it so that they could get back to the game. I closed the storyline out a month ago. They're still posting in the thread. VERY RP HEAVY GROUP. (And at least one of my members belongs in an ERP thread. I deal with it.)
I'm looking for two players to add to an existing group and I've got some very strict requirements. First, you post a backstory AND I interview every potential player over Skype. If we get along I add you to the Skype group of players and you have up to a week to get your chara. sheet submitted. During that time you MUST talk to and get to know the other players. Anyone who can't get along with their future team mates before the game will be dropped. Period. Anyone who doesn't have a character sheet submitted BEFORE the drop dead date will be dropped. Period. Game would be 5e. Standard character creation rules EXCEPT -6 karma and 50k nuyen. (They started at street and have worked their way up.) You MUST be able to post a minimum of twice a day. Yes, I work too.
Yes, you will absolutely need a few social skills because I run EXTREMELY HEAVY RP games. If your character can only grunt and shoot you're going to end up with not much to do for 99.9% of the game. If you want in I need a backstory submitted before your interview. Those of you that say, "Oh, I have every kind of chara made. I can bring any role you need." Let me make this clear. I am not interested in filling a role. I will say that again. I am NOT interested in filling a ROLL. I do not craft storylines around roles or around dice. I craft storylines around people and for that I need a rich backstory. SO, make a backstory you're excited to play. You can make a pink, fluffy, unicorn dancing on rainbows, as long as that pink, fluffy, unicorn has a great backstory I'm good with it.. You can submit your character sheet once you're ready to actually enter the game. It is an interview and I expect questions on your part. Game is Standard character creation rules EXCEPT -6 karma and 50k nuyen.. The game has some VERY ADULT THEMES. That said, I insist that those very adult themes be kept off screen as much as possible. I am not interested in ERP, I am interested in maintaining the integrity of the story and the characters.
