IF I were to decide to run a game of mercenaries rather than shadowrunners. Where would be a good place to base the campign?

Constantinople is a great spot--home of 10kD, has its own degree of intrigue, and a pretty easy jumping off point for exotic locales.

Chicago. The corps are finally starting to dig into the depths of that place and there's a LOT to be gained.

OK if there is enough interest then I would be willing to run the game. I am thinking Prime Runner's designed to be in the field. Since I am currently working it out on where we will be going then I will say that the team is based outside of Chicago but needs to be ready to travel around the globe at a moments notice. Major transport will be taken care of.

How much extra would we be looking at using the karma generation system. (Priority built should probably be around Sum to 15 or 16 for how you describe).

Yes it would be a PbP game here. I might be willing to do Sum-to-12 chargen with Prime Runners. I still want the game to be somewhat challenging. I'll even throw in a bonus for each character depending on the type of character. I just haven't decided yet.

What about additional points added to karma generation (as well as if there'd be an increase in maximum resources)?

I think they screwed up Karma gen so badly in this version that it leaves so much so vague. I'd stick to Sum-to gen for this game.

All right. I'll withdraw then. Being required to use Priority or a variant therein is a deal breaker for me when there is a better option available.

I may be willing to do Karma but I will have to make sure everyone is on the same page with the creation rules. If enough people are willing to play the game and we can all agree on creation then Karma is still on the table.

I don't really care about what chargen method we use. I'd prefer not to get too far off the beaten path, but it's whatever with me.
