Overall I like it.  I've not developed MF's contacts all that much, but he's got a metahuman activist contact.  We could make that the same person and how we got in touch.  On my sheet I've just got him called 'Stork.'  Feel free to flesh him out if you'd like.  Seems like a good "in."

Here's what I'd do with the shared contact if it were up to me:

Bryce Hathaway, AKA "Stork"
Public junior high school performing arts teacher by day, radical progressive metahuman rights activist by night. Tall white Ork with short blonde hair and a scratchy beard that is for some reason much darker. Wears plaid with stripes. Makes a show of reading banned books. He's not a "leader" in the Chicago-area civil rights movement but is one of its more intelligent members and could make a big difference someday (if no one geeks him first). He's useless in a fight but very persuasive.

Bad News was recently hired to keep Stork safe in case a protest got out of hand, which of course it did. Since then, they've called on one another for small favors occasionally.

If you guys dig it, then feel free to write in however your characters might have met him or whatever.

Also, need to figure out if MF is smart/educated enough to get the "Bad News" reference.  If he is, he'll call your char "Bears" most of the time :P

Haha yeah "Bear" or "Bears" is probably a nickname he hears frequently, or at least a good way to describe him.

I think he looks good. SR5 needs more trolls, which got expensive in chargen. Poindexter's loosened chargen rules should help you to make a troll who isn't a one-dimensional skill-wise.

I agree that the most natural connection to the group would be through Made Free's metahuman activist.

I imagine Eisa likes having someone big around, both to draw fire and to help her remain unnoticed.

I didn't realize trolls were that infrequent? I kinda had the impression that every group had a troll on it, haha. Personally I feel like I see orks and dwarves the least.

And yeah I think Bad News and Eisa would have something in common in terms of their no-nonsense approach, even though he skews a bit more idealistic than her.

Hey, could everyone do a me a solid and throw your character sheet as your first post on the OOC thread I'm about to post, eh? Just sos they're easier for me to get at.
