Alright... Ill have a sheet tonight probably but the basic concept is as follows.

He is a human male with decent social skills and follows them up with an ability to drive and some heavy weaponry use when needed. He's more of a classic wheel man than a straight up rigger, but he's not picky when the led starts flying. He goes by the street name Thunder.

He's earned his nickname for the tendency to go to his trunk and produce his Thunderstruck Gauss rifle when the drek hits the fan. (He will have the quality that allows him to start with a restricted piece of gear.) Ammo is always hard to come by so he uses this rarely.

He normally dresses to the nines in stylish suits and his clear wrap around AR glasses. His goal is to his his social abilities to make the few runs he does as profitable as possible as his life style is quite expensive, not to mention his vehicles. He's been augmented with tailored pheromones and several other enhancements. He has no real memory of his past and where he acquired his signature weapon is a mystery to him. He is concerned that whoever is responsible for his augmentations might come knocking one day. But he plans to be prepared for that day by gathering as much experience in the shadows as possible.

More details will follow when I finish the character sheet.

I'd been holding off on posting (or for that matter deciding which character to use) until I saw a bit more of the other characters, to see where I could help fill in holes.  Now I'm wondering if others are doing the same thing, and we are all waiting for each other?

As a wise man once said-"Party balance is for suckers!"

Let's do this.  I teach tomorrow, and Tuesday is my night off.  Tuesday night, I'll post the call from the fixer.  Everybody post who answers the call.  A fixer builds a team he/she thinks will work, and as your fixer/GM, I think this team will work.  Post in character on the IC thread.

Sound good?

Sorry about being out of touch, school got busy there for a week or so. . . turns out I've got a paper due almost every Monday for one of my classes.  Fascist.

Anyway, that sounds like a plan, bio.  Do you need a copy of everyone's record sheet?  I can email you the Chummer file, I guess...  I do try to stay away from Google docs et al, though, FYI.  I had a bad experience.
Looking for a PBP or Roll20 game, SR 4 or 5.  I'm not picky.

*twitch*  Relaxing about this is easier said than done :p

I don’t know why I worry about it so much, I’m running a one player game so obviously there are a lot of ‘holes in the party,’ on top of which the PC is a cat shaman so a lot of the time even when he could just solve stuff with an ambush he won’t.  (granted that a general-purpose magician is closer to being able to do a bit of everything than any other archetype in SR).  Ignoring it still makes me antsy, though!

Currently having kittens while deciding which (now of a list of four) characters to run.  Sigh, I’ll be fine once we get started, I always go through this prior to a game.

But thank goodness for Chummer, to keep track of all the things you can’t do -- in general or in missions.  I keep having brilliant ideas that don’t work out.  Had reworked Forty to add in Lightning Reflexes, only to hit the ‘no more than 25 points of positive qualities’ limit; the whole concept of Alf had been built around the Social Stress negative quality which apparently is not allowed in Missions; etc.  Kudos to anyone who can keep this all straight without a tool like that.

A  quick questions that came up from finalizing character sheets:

- For missions, can we get off-list gear?  Was looking at a good cordless power drill with some high quality bits.  If no, not a big deal. If OK, what price?

To answer your question, honestly I don't think so.  However, if you want to say you have tools, then you have tools.  That is something that won't break the game if you have it... (famous last GM words there...)

Alright I've posted the intro.  I assume you're all in Chicago, and you all answer your comm.  Here is the thread  http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=22113.0

The good is were're on the official SR forums, but the bad is we don't have a dice roller built in.  I just found one called Unseen Servent. http://www.unseenservant.com/  It allows you to post a url.  Might be worth a shot.  Use any online roller that you like.

I'm hoping for one post a day, none on weekends.  Sound good?

Good luck!

I figured out how to model the drill thing -- take a kit of some appropriate description (handyman? carpenter?) which should include a drill.  Might not have the extra tough drill bits I wanted, but at least it is 'on list' (and hey, if anyone needs to hang a picture, you'd have a hammer).

The real intent was combine drill, silence spell, and mage goggles to gain line of sight into places where line of sight is not normally available.  But I was double checking some spells this morning and realized some of the plans I had for Alf won't work like I thought, so will see.... if I can't rebuild quickly will not use him and his drill.

A mason's or carpenter's kit would kit would work for you.  I work at Home Depot, and you can pick up a decent-sized medium-quality masonry bit rated for brick, stucco, and/or concrete for about $15.  Higher quality ones will escalate from there.

I updated Alf to use Lothan the Wise (from the list of contacts in the Missions FAQ) as his talismonger contact.  Due to the higher connection rating than Alf's previous contact, I needed an extra karma, so dropped the one point karma buy in the Computers skill (freeing up two karma, one went into the contact, leaving one).

I put the other point of karma into nuyen:
- upgrading his ear buds and monocle,
- buying the adhesive spray (and its solvent) that I'd meant to buy originally,
- and since I still had some nuyen left I added a mono-filament chainsaw to go with his carpentry kit -- for occasions when a drill is just too subtle :)

I also figured out the locations options in Chummer, and indicated where he normally keeps various items.  (perhaps worth noting is that he has 250 points of reagents in total, which I expect would be rather bulky.  I've assigned 25 to pockets in his jacket, which I hope is a reasonable amount).
