I'll need to check my dice pool to see how reliable it will be to hit 4 different targets with an FA Burst.

I went ahead and did it, but also burned edge to increase my chances of getting a single hit from 80% to 87% on 3 of the attacks. Exploding 6s might have made up for that first whiff.

You're right about biofeedback, but I don't assume that I'll need the second configuration unless one of the targets goes VR. This is my combat configuration if things go bad.

I'll post my actions once I've checked whether being surprised is helpful only for regular defense tests (in which case I will use brute force and shoot at the things) or also against matrix defense (in which case I'll try to hack them).

Is it possible to hack the pilot system itself and change the orders it gives to, say, the four drones? Or is everything running hard-wired?

Since the house just went online, you now can attack it wireless. In matrix combat there is no such thing as surprise, your defenses are always up (otherwise hack on the fly would be ridiculously easy)

But a word of warning: This is the house of a hacker and a magic rigger and the pilot system of the house has one more program slot - guess what's in there

Nah, the house doesn't hack - quite the opposite. But you are in luck that you thought to turn off all your wireless devices. Otherwise the house would have tried to get a lock on you with EW so that the drones would get more dice to shoot you.
