Should we roll for surprise, or did whatever checks we made against illusions cover that, or did you roll for surprise "behind the screen"?

Also, is it combat sense or danger sense that guarantees one of those. I feel like it's combat sense even though it would make more sense for it to be danger sense. Apologies, but I'm away from rulebook.

I wasn't worried. I rolled a 28 on initiative, so I'd be able to get at least one action in even after a -20 penalty from Surprise and Full Defense. I was just hoping that I'd be able to make 2 actions :P

Tell me, how does Geek the Mage First (tm) work when they are all mages?

@Squirrel: having had to look that up, I'll clarify.  Danger Sense is what applies to surprise tests.  Combat sense is strictly for defense dice.

I'll roll initiative when I get home from work this afternoon.  Seeing as how Krestov cannot get above a 14 in initiative, I think it is safe to say everyone else goes first anyhow, lol :)

Slobbertooth has both, so it's really all academic in this case, but it is still another one of 5e's non-intuitive rules implementation.

Added an intimidate roll to the my last IC post.

Yeah, I know the Intimidate dice pool is terrible, but I'm actually a pretty wonderful Negotiator (5 dice OP).  :P
