on Page 111 in Storm Front at the end, Jack recommends Puck should leave the city. He refuses because he implies "The main event is about to begin."

Any news or speculations on what that main event is? Im really trying to get a good picture on the Situation of the World for GMing, but it's kinda hard to keep track......

Also, word is Ghostwalker didn't finish business with Harlequin cause of Maelstrom and Oblivion (also page 111). Is this only a rumor or are they realy targeting denver?

If my memory serves, Puck was working with Harlequin (or Harlequin's alter ego) to sow chaos in the city, and he was referring to the return of Ghostwalker and the fight on the 16th Street Mall.

According to Storm Front, Puck is the one who brought down the Nexus, on Harlequin's behalf.  This was on October 19, 2075.  November 1, 2075 is the Ghostwalker/Harlequin fight.  November 2, 2075 is when Puck says his cryptic statement.  So you've got your timeline right.  I can only assume that Puck is still trying to fight the dragon's influence.

... oh god.  I wouldn't.  I'd predict that Puck got suckered in yet fraggin' again by the promises of some evil bastard (read: Gwynplaine, aka Harlequin's Shadow) who told him they were going to make a better world.  Doesn't that stupid shit learn?

Yeah, he definitely bit the hook a little harder than most people would have done.  It makes me wonder what happened after the fight between Harlequin and Ghost Walker.  Did Gwynplaine leave Denver?  Is there still fighting going on in the shadows?  The answer to those questions are probably no and yes, respectively.  I do love Denver as a great setting for doing some runs.

If Gwynplaine was smart, he left Denver; if there's any single entity in the world who wouldn't have a spit's worth of trouble with him once he managed to get near him, it'd be Ghostwalker.  I think he's still stirring up trouble remotely, but I believe he's currently in Seattle.  Don't know why I think that, though.  Something about someone in Seattle running into a powerful mage in black and red/white/nasty harlequin makeup?

It's really about as confirmed as it can be.  The damn thing has a major mad-on for Harlequin, so he's running around besmirching his ... well, Harley never really had a GOOD name per se, but still, you get the idea.  ;)  He's definitely involved.

But he can't learn.

Events show that becoming a Jackpointer inhibits memory, common / professional sense or the ability to learn from previous errors.

Hence Haze is still everyone's best bud except for Pistons, despite the shitstorm that would descend on any player in a campaign doing even a fraction of what he does with mental manipulations.
However we imagine by the time 6th edition rolls around they will have patched things up, gotten married and she becomes the 2070s version of a Stepford Wife.

It's why Clockwork is still breathing even though he was captured by Slamm-O! and Co. mere minutes after he had killed one of Netcat's buddies.

So yeah, seeing Puck playing patsy for yet another manipulative boss type is sort of par for the course. :P

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?
