Thank you Smiles-sama.  The gift of karma is greatly appreciated.  OOC dicsussion here.  The first metamagic that I intend to learn is channeling.  It is found in the Street Grimoire, and it is akin to possession, but leaving the mage in charge.  It seems rather powerful, and I am open to house rules if you want to modify it.  My primary reason is the physical boosts you receive, as that is Jed's weakest point.  Who wouldn't want to be physically more powerful, neh?

Initiation requires 13 karma, and I think I have 9.  Initiation takes a month it says, so I'm not sure what that will do gamewise.  Looks like a month of game time will take 6 months IRL.  I suppose the story episode will find a natural break and then some downtime can pass?

I do believe there will be a downtime period or two coming up...the hurry up and wait, let the pieces fall together, in between jobs, things like that.  I could be wrong though, and we will have to see.  I have been holding off on skill training (Gunnery, ho!) And equipment acquiring (dorones, weapons, sleep regulator, etc) until a natural downtime was well

The big question raised now, it would seem, is the topic of spending karma on things that by the book take time to go into effect. Like skill training and initiation (which I coulda sworn was 30 Karma, glad I'm wrong).  If such training required complete devotion to it, training would be difficult to accomplish with the glorious flow we have going.  However, having it only require that some time be spent on it each IC day, we could be inbusiness.

If you want to say you dedicate part of each day I need a concrete amount. And it'll take longer than if you took the relevant time out to really focus on the training.

In that case I will also stop waiting to spend my karma and start asking contacts for favors.
Notice that the instruction skill becomes very useful now because it reduces the time it takes to study stuff.  I think that, initiation kept a side for some major downtime. Instead of going after initiation Marco will wok on his mundane disguise and impersonation skills (that he sort of use a lot), as well as pursue the creation of his first power focus F1.

I am listing the process because Jed might want to make a power focus as well.
a. 1 point of Arcana - (take 1 day - or a few hours with instructor).
b. Creating formula extended test Magic + Arcana (Force^2) vs 1 - should be ready by 1 day.
c. 1 point of artificising (1 day unless there is a guide).
D. Crafting 1 day - I'd add a point in binding for Marco to have a spirit that help with the crafting as it is a bit dangerous - but perheaps Jed will be able to help in there.

overall all it take to have a fancy new F1 focus of your own making is:
2 * 1 skills,  (2 days)
formula (1 day - or 4500 nuyen)
crafting (1 day)
less then a week and you can make your very own power focus. Not very expensive as you do it all yourself (I think that it will be less than 1k nuyen including the magical lodge to build and the reagents and so on, more if you use a bound spirit.)

Hi guys, my really deep apologies for not posting last night. My computer is giving me enough drek to bury a house in. I can see some fun hi-jinks ensuing with Bootstrap entering Subaru's apartment, especially with the offer for him to take a shower.  But I'm not sure if I should be making it all up or letting Smiles play Bootstrap.  What should I do?
