Hi
Just a quick question - are we allowed or expected to provide pre-generated characters?
I will most likely have some fairly green players coming into my Missions sessions and I just wanted to know if there is a policy on pre-gens or not.

I know some GMs who have a roster of pregens they bring to Missions games.  The archetypes in the book aren't actually legal, so I'd avoid those if possible.  Remind players that they get a "redo" after one session, so whatever karma the pregen earns carries over to a character they make before session two.

Yes, pregrens are fine.  In fact for complete rookie players, they're encouraged since it lets them sit down and try out the game (and learn some rules) before they commit to creating a character (which can be a lengthy process the first time you do it, and many new players of course will not have the books).  This is why we have the 1-mission retcon rule.

IIRC, I think Ray has a pile of redone Sample Characters available for anyone who is a demo agent, as a note.

I've also re-done the book Archetypes and made them Missions legal. I'll try and get them uploaded into Google Docs sometime this week (or weekend).

I'm also considering re-doing some of them with some of the qualities from Run Faster Now that it's out.

I'll post a link when I've done that.

Cordially,

The Missions Legal HeroLab created pre-gens are in the Agent Dropbox.  No need to do additional work, it's already done.

Here is a link to a thread about fixing the sample runners to be street legal. Enjoy/y

I tried to make all the new archtypes in Run Faster as Missions compatable as I could...for the most part. I think there were a couple with some qualities that weren't allowed, but nothing too outrageous...I think.

I had asked Tim Patrick about the con pregens a while back seemed he willing to send them my way not sure if I had a typeo in the email address or my spam filter ate them.
